Academic Review is our way of monitoring your academic progress and making sure you are keeping on track with your studies. Four times a year, we assess your performance over the previous study period(s).

Unsatisfactory progress over an academic review period is described in the Assessment Policy and Procedures  -  AB-68 P7 Academic Review Procedure document as:
  • failing a course for the second time, or
  • failing 50% or more courses in an academic review period, or
  • failing a practice-based learning activity, where that failure constitutes failure in the course.
Academic Review periods align with the study period 2 and study period 5 initial and secondary official result release dates.

An email will be sent to your myMail if you are making unsatisfactory progress. The actions you need to take to continue your studies will depend on the notification stage you fall into.
