Car Parking Fees (UniSA Campus and Wilson Parking)

Employees appointed on a continuing or fixed term contract are eligible to salary sacrifice their car parking fees at a UniSA campus or commercial car park. Casual employees are ineligible for the salary sacrificing of car parking fees.

UniSA Campus parking agreements

Staff can apply for an annual car park at UniSA Campus car parks:

·         At the beginning of the calendar year, or

·         At the commencement of employment, or

·         When transferring employment between campuses

UniSA Campus car parks are located at Mawson Lakes Campus, Magill Campus and City West Campus (189 Currie Street).

The annual fee for the UniSA Campus parks at Mawson Lakes and Magill will be deducted as a single salary sacrifice payment upon the commencement of the agreement.

The City West (189 Currie Street) park fee will be deducted as an on-going salary sacrifice payment from the staff members pay on a fortnightly basis.

Staff should complete and return the Application to salary sacrifice car parking fees (HRIS040) to FM Assist for approval.

An establishment fee of $10 will be charged for all UniSA Campus agreements.

Wilson Parking agreements

UniSA has an agreement with Wilson Parking to provide staff with the ability to enter an agreement to have their parking fees at City West (Clarendon Street) and City East (Union Street and Bent Street), deducted as an on-going salary sacrifice payment from their pay on a fortnightly basis.

To apply for a Wilson Parking car park for the first time please obtain a Commercial Car Parking agreement from FM Assist at City East (Union Street and Bent Street) or FM Assist at City West (Clarendon Street). The University and Wilson Parking reserve the right to accept or decline any salary sacrifice application.

Upon commencing an agreement, the initial payment will comprise:

  • one fortnightly deduction
  • arrears to the start of the car park arrangement (if applicable)
  • one month’s deduction
  • $10 administrative charge

A reconciliation will be undertaken at the end of each calendar year or on termination of car parking arrangement. Staff with an excess balance will receive a refund through Payroll, and those staff with a shortfall will have an additional salary sacrifice deduction made to recover the outstanding charges.

Should a price increase occurring during the life of an agreement, Wilson Parking will notify staff prior to the increase taking affect.

When ceasing an agreement, a notice period of one month is required by Wilson Parking before terminating a car parking arrangement. This is the employee’s responsibility; please contact FM Assist at City East (Union Street and Bent Street) or FM Assist at City West (Clarendon Street) for further information.

Fees incurred at all other commercial car parks

Permanent and casual car parking fees are able to be salary sacrificed on a monthly basis through the salary sacrifice reimbursement process. Please refer to the salary sacrifice of eligible items website.

The University reserves the right to accept or decline any salary sacrifice application.
