Ten $2000 Grants available

This exciting new grant is available to all postgraduate and undergraduate Business School students who have achieved a GPA of 5.5 or above and who have applied for and been accepted to attend a short term program at a Top 100 or Triple Crown accredited Business School. Ten $2000 competitive grants are available.

Students are not restricted to undertaking study with UniSA Business School partner universities and some of the opportunities you may wish to explore are outlined below. Please note that tuition fees apply for non UniSA partner institutions and that course information and fee inclusions are subject to change at the host university’s discretion.

Austria

Vienna University of Economics and Business – International Summer University

Location: Vienna, Austria
Dates: July Session - July 10 to July 28 2017, August Session - July 31 to August 18 2017
Duration: 3 weeks

The undergraduate program consists of two courses which are taught consecutively over the duration of three weeks. Completion of the undergraduate program is worth 8 ECTS. You can choose from courses such as Human Resource Management, Marketing, Management, International Management, Social Media Marketing, Strategic Management, Financial Management, Sustainable Business, Global Marketing or International Marketing.

HEC Montrēal – Business French Summer School

Location: Montreal, Canada

This immersion program combines intensive Business French courses (from total Beginner to Intermediate/ Advanced), interactive oral communication workshops, seminars and conferences in Marketing and Management, company visits as well as numerous socio-cultural activities and outings designed to discover the city of Montreal.

University of British Columbia – Vancouver Summer Program

Location: Vancouver, Canada
Dates: June – July and July- August
Duration: 4 weeks

The Vancouver Summer Program (VSP) program allows students to pair two academic courses from a variety of UBC Faculties while learning about Canadian practices and culture.  Business subjects include International Business Management and International Marketing; Marketing and Management and Organisational Behaviour and Strategic Management and New Enterprise Development. The Law faculty offers an International Business and the Common Law Lab.

Fees: The packaged fee per student is $4500 CAD (approximately $4550 AUD) which covers course tuition, medical insurance, airport transfers and city tour, shared accommodation on the UBC campus for 31 nights, orientation and farewell events, course materials and social activities.

Antai College of Economics and Management, Shanghai Jiao Tong University - Antai Global Summer Program

Location: Shanghai, China

Recognised as one of China’s top business schools, Antai College of Economics & Management is experienced in designing curriculum of rich academic components combined with real-world business immersion practice. Sun Yat-Sen University International Summer Program

Sun Yat-sen University (SYSU) International Summer Program (ISP) covers a wide range of business topics, reflecting the past 10 years of economic achievements in China and recent challenges to the region as well as to the country. Zhejiang University – International Summer School “Entrepreneurship in China”

Location: Hangzhou, China
Dates: June - July
Duration: 3 weeks

The curriculum focuses on the different facets of "entrepreneurship" in China including cultural, economic, marketing, intellectual property and big data. By the end of the program students create their own China business initiative and present it to the final judges as part of their assessment.  Student also undertake company visits, attend networking events and undertake cultural acitivities.

Tsinghua University – PBC School of Finance, Tsinghua PBCSF Summer Program "Financial Leaders of Tomorrow"

Location: Beijing, China
Dates: July
Duration: 2 weeks

Attendees will gain a comprehensive understanding of China’s financial markets, including banking, securities, insurance, funds, and other sectors. Unique and in-depth lectures will be provided by a combination of Tsinghua faculties, policymakers from the government and industry elites with extensive experience at top financial entities.  Study trips to financial institutions are offered to give attendees first-hand information regarding how markets function in China and how China’s unique business environment has influenced the financial industry.  Cultural events and sightseeing tours will allow the attendees to experience the real China, one of the most dynamic and promising economies in today’s world.

Universidad de los Andes – International Summer School

The International Summer School is a two-week program that gives students and participants the opportunity to attend cutting edge Management courses in English. Aarhus BSS, School of Business and Social Sciences – Aarhus BSS Winter School

Primarily aimed at Australian University students the Aarhus BSS Winter School provides a mixture of lectures, classroom workshops, discussions, exercises and excursions. Copenhagen Business School – International Summer University Programme (ISUP)

Location: Copenhagen, Denmark

ISUP is one of the world’s longest running and largest summer programs. The program is open to domestic and international university students as well as young professionals.  Students have the opportunity to choose from 40 exciting courses taught in English at bachelor and graduate levels. The programme covers a wide range of classic business courses, as well as more diverse, innovative and entrepreneurial courses. Each course is 7.5 ECTS and students can enrol in a maximum of 2 courses (15 ECTS).

EDHEC Business School - Summer School: Globalising Europe

Location: Lille, France and Nice, France
Dates: May and June
Duration: 4 weeks

This intensive study program is designed for graduate students and is taught across both of EDHEC’s campuses in Lille and Nice. Students choose from one or two courses, each module worth 6 ECTS when complete.  Topics covered give an insight in to the European business scene, visit leading companies in Southern and Northern France and meet with their management. Other social and cultural activities are also included.  Unlike any other programme in Europe, Globalising Europe combines a hands-on business perspective with historical, cultural and economic analysis.

Fees: Four week program, consisting of two courses - €3000 (approximately $4400 AUD) plus a €300 registration fee (approximately $440 AUD).  The two week program € 1900 (approximately $2770 AUD) plus €300 registration fee (approximately $440 AUD).  This covers tuition fees, course materials, company visits and a student card allowing access to all campus facilities.

EMLYON Business School -Summer Session: European Business and Global Entrepreneurship

Grenoble School of Management - Undergraduate Summer School

Location: Grenoble, France and Paris, France

Duration: 2 weeks per program

Students are able to select from one or both courses as part this Undergraduate Summer School - Small and Family Business and International Marketing. The Small and Family Business course allows students to explore entrepreneurial strengths as they apply to a small business environment and learn how to generate and evaluate a business idea, present a business plan and assess source of funding. All the while planning the growth of a company.  The International Marketing course sees students acquire analytical, strategic and promotional tools to optimize your marketing performance. Discover how global companies are using cultures. Develop your sales and negotiation skills through an interactive sales game.  The second week of this course is taught in Paris.  Successful completion of both courses will result in 12 ECTS being awarded to students.

Mexico

Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México - Business and Culture in Mexico

Location: Mexico City.

Duration: 6 weeks

Business & Culture in Mexico is a six-week program offered during the summer for undergraduate students interested in learning about Mexico’s business environment and language and culture. This program is designed for students to take Business courses in English with the option of also learning or improving their Spanish. In the Business subjects, international students will work together with ITAM’s own Business students to explore both aspects of the country and its role in the global economic community. Language and Culture courses will give students an additional dimension into the cultural environment of the country. Maastricht University, School of Business and Economics - Maastricht Summer School

BI Norwegian Business School - International Summer Programme - Intercultural Management: a Scandinavian Perspective

Kozminski University, Warsaw - Investment Industry: Instruments, Mechanisms and Regulations

Location: Warsaw, Poland
Dates: September - October
Duration: 6 days

This program, focused around Finance topics, is designed to give an understanding of the business environment, professional and ethical responsibilities of the investment industry professionals outside the investment roles. It is a highly intensive course supplemented with a rich study material, allowing the participants to grasp the essence of the instruments, mechanisms and regulations shaping the functioning of the investment industry without delving into technicalities. The course starts with a review of fundamentals, then gradually proceeds to a general overview of financial instruments and investment management process, and ends with a discussion of investors’ needs and interests.

ESADE Business School - International Summer Programme

Students are able to choose to undertake either the full four week program or a two week half session.  As part of the program students choose from one of the core tracks – International Business, Entrepreneurship & Innovation, Law and Critical Thinking as well as one elective - Global Governance & Geopoliticsm, Spanish Language, Barcelona Innovation Industries - Sports & Fashion, H: Intercultural Communication, Technology for Entrepreneurships and Innovation & Methodology.  Successful completion of each course awards students 5 ECTS.

This six-week intensive Summer Institute offers students the opportunity to work on a team-based case-study project. Students select from one specialised stream:

  • Film & Television Marketing and Management
  • Integrated Marketing: A New World of Advertising
  • Sports Marketing and Management

A strong industry focus is part of this program with guest speakers who have significant expertise in media and entertainment. Additionally, students receive personalised career management and an opportunity to be part of industry networking activities that allows for exclusive access to industry leaders and professionals in media and entertainment.

Successful completion of this program sees students awarded 5 US Credits.

Fees: Program fee – US $5061, approximately $6750 AUD and additional fees of US $530, approximately $700 AUD, which includes health insurance and documentation fees.  Housing is available on campus for an additional fee.
