Discussion Topics

The Your Culture, My Culture program is all about discovering more about other cultures and sharing a little of yours, so try some of these conversation starters to get your cultural crash-course on a roll:

  • The program you are studying
  • How long you have lived in Adelaide
  • What you did or where you were before coming to study at UniSA
  • What you enjoy most about your program or living in Adelaide
  • Why you chose to participate in Your Culture, My Culture
  • What are your hobbies and interests
  • What countries have you visited and what are the best aspects of those countries
  • What are your national sports
  • What do people of your age and culture do for entertainment (music, activities, movies, etc.)
  • Food! What is your favourite cultural dish and how is it prepared
  • Do you have a different name in your country
  • Did you have any culture-shock when first arriving in Australia

Whilst there are regular activities and events run by the University, such as the Learn To Surf and paintball events, you might want to organise your own get-togethers to get to know one another better and make even more memories!
