International Student Welcome Reception

Date: Monday 19 February 2018
Time: 4.00pm – 6.00pm
Location: Botanic Park 

The University of South Australia invites all new international students to join us for a welcome reception in Adelaide’s gorgeous Botanic Park. The afternoon will provide you with the opportunity to hear from Vice Chancellor Professor David Lloyd, current international students and connect with other new students while enjoying an Aussie BBQ. We look forward to seeing you all there!

Study Abroad & Exchange Student Briefing

Date: Monday 19 February 2018
Time: 1.30pm – 3.30pm
Location: Hans Heysen Building, Level 5, Room 8 (HH5-08), City West campus 

You must attend this session if you are studying courses with UniSA on a short-term program (1 to 2 semesters). At this session we will talk about issues unique to Study Abroad and Exchange students and cover some important information about these programs. This is in addition to the program specific sessions held across all campuses which include a compulsory International Student Briefing. This is also the chance to be introduced to your Local Buddies! Hear about the exciting events planned for this semester and what your buddies can do for you. We will play some games and a prize is up for grabs for the best buddy group on the day.

Urimbirra Wildlife Park & Victor Harbor Tour

Date: Saturday 24 February 2018
Time: 8.30am – 5.30pm
Location: Meet at City West campus

Get up close and personal to more than 70 species of Australian animals in their natural surroundings, including kangaroos and koalas.

At Victor Harbor, visit the Whale and Interpretive Centre or take a ride on the horse-drawn tram across the bridge to Granite Island.

Beach Fun Session with Grange Surf Lifesaving Club

Date: Saturday 17 March 2018
Time: 8.00am – 1.00pm
Location: Meet at City West campus

Take a trip to one of Adelaide’s beautiful beaches to soak up the summer weather.

Play some beach games and watch surf awareness, beach safety and surf rescue scenarios conducted by Patrol Captain and Surf club members. At the end of the session, enjoy an Aussie BBQ lunch.
