STUDY ABROAD & EXCHANGE STUDENTS 

As a new Study Abroad or Exchange student, it is essential that you attend Orientation, which includes the Study Abroad & Exchange Student Briefing, International Student Briefing and your Program Information Session. Please see the below information on all the events you should attend which are specifically designed for International Students.

Study Abroad & Exchange Student Briefing

Date: Monday 25 February 2019
Registration time: 9.30am - 10.00am
Session: 10.00am-3.30pm
Location: City West Campus, Sir Hans Heyson Building, Level 4, Room 8 (HH4-08) 

You must arrive in Adelaide in time to attend this briefing if you are studying courses with UniSA on a short-term program (1 to 2 semesters).

In these sessions, you’ll be provided with all the information you require about settling into university, life in Adelaide, your health and wellbeing, and a question and answer session about your student visa.

We’ll also talk about topics unique to Study Abroad and Exchange students and cover some important information about these programs.

On the social side, you’ll get the chance to be introduced to your Local Buddies and hear about the exciting events planned for this semester!


International Student Welcome Reception (Social Event)

The University of South Australia invites all commencing international students to join us for a welcome reception. This is your official welcome to Adelaide and to the University with a ‘Welcome to Country’ from a Kaurna elder and a special address from a senior Academic leader. The afternoon will provide you with the opportunity to connect with other new and current international students over light refreshments and fun activities. We look forward to seeing you there!

Program Information Session

You should attend a Program Information Session* which matches your home degree as much as possible, but don’t worry if it’s not exactly the same as home. Please follow the below links to find your specific program.

Urimbirra Wildlife Park & Victor Harbor Tour

Get up close and personal to more than 70 species of Australian animals in their natural surroundings, including kangaroos and koalas. Visit the SA Whale Centre, or take a ride on the horse-drawn tram across the causeway to Granite Island.
