Meetings through Skype for Business

Scheduling a meeting through Skype for Business allows people to participate/attend using a combination of the following options:

  • In person - if a suitable venue has been booked;
    AND/OR
  • Via a computer - on campus or off;
    AND/OR
  • Via a telephone/mobile

Audio Connections: 50
Video Connections: 5
Dial-in Audio Conference Connections: 100
  1. While in your calendar click New Skype Meeting
  2. Complete as a normal meeting request
    NOTE: Be careful not to change any of the Skype meeting information.
  3. Click Send

NOTE: At present, this is the only method to use to get the conference ID and Join by Phone Option.

  1. Opening the meeting event in your Outlook Calendar and click the meeting link; or
  2. Join directly from an Outlook reminder; or
  3. In the Skype for Business window, go to the meeting tab and click on the Join button for the desired meeting listed.
    NOTE: Skype for Business meetings will be displayed in blue

NOTE: If the leader has not joined the meeting, you will be placed on hold until they are.

  1. Dial ext29777 or 08 8302 9777
  2. Listen to phone prompts:
    1. Enter the Conference ID (5 digits)
    2. Press #
  3. Listen to phone prompts:
    1. To record your name
    2. Press #
  4. You are now in the meeting

The Skype for Business dial-in number is local to South Australia. Please check with your provider on the cost of a local call to SA, Australia.

There is no charge when calling from a UniSA internal NEC phone.

Currently, Toll-free numbers are NOT available.

NOTE: To be a leader, you need to have scheduled the meeting yourself, otherwise it will not accept your PIN.

  1. Dial ext29777 or 08 8302 9777
  2. Listen to phone prompts:
    1. Enter the Conference ID (5 digits)
    2. Press #
    3. Press *
    4. Enter your PIN
  3. You are now in the meeting as the leader

NOTE: Only Presenters can share content.

  1. Click Participants
  2. Click Participant Actions
  3. Click one or multiple options to apply these settings to all attendees
