How do I report Spam/Phishing?

When you select a message in Microsoft Outlook you have the option to report the message as spam or phishing. This automatically triggers the following actions:

  • The message is moved to your Junk E-Mail folder in Microsoft Outlook.
  • The sender of the message is added to your Blocked Senders list.
  • The message is forwarded to the IT Help Desk for analysis.

This can be achieved 1 of 3 ways:

  1. Right mouse click on the email you wish to report, select Report Spam and then select either:
    • A) Report Spam; or
    • B) Report Phishing
      Report Spam or Phishing
  2. Select the desired email, under the Mimecast Ribbon click on Block Sender dropdown menu and then select either:

    • A) Report Spam; or
    • B) Report Phishing
      Report Spam or Phishing
  3. Double click to open the desired email, under the Mimecast Ribbon select either:
    • A) Report Spam; or
    • B) Report Phishing
      Report Spam or Phishing
