Introducing UniSA’s New Telephone System

We understand the need for UniSA staff to be able to communicate effectively from any location – in the office, at home, in transit! This was extremely important when staff were working from home during the COVID-19 pandemic.  ISTS is delighted to announce a new cloud telephone solution for the University replacing our NEC legacy system.

The new telephony solution is integrated with Microsoft Teams at UniSA – giving us one location to manage all of our communication channels – phone calls, video calls, chat messages etc. It will also remove the need for handheld physical phones.

UniSA staff will be able to make and receive internal and external phone calls and listen to voicemail messages via this one simple application which can be accessed from a pc, laptop or mobile device (e.g. phone, tablet). All UniSA Call centres will also be migrated to use this new solution.

ISTS will work closely with each unit to understand any specific telephony arrangements you may have and to make sure the transition is simple.
