Speed Dial options on NEC telephones

What are possible Speed Dial buttons on the telephones?

The Line Keys (6 or 24) between the screen and numeric keypad, may be pre-programmed for you to access your phone line, forward your phone, or access any number of phone features, or they may be set up as speed dial keys allowing you to store a group of numbers for you to click and call.

If a button is set by your Administrator as a speed dial you can then assign the speed dial number.

Setup a standard Speed Dial button

  1. Press Feature
  2. Press desired Line Key
  3. Enter the number you want to program
    NOTE: Don't forget to add 0 to the start of external/mobile numbers.
    NOTE: If you make a mistake entering the number, just wait for the display to clear (about 8 seconds) and start again
  4. Press Feature
  5. Screen will show 'SPEED SET'
  6. The phone will reboot and once completed the button will be ready for use

Setup a Speed Dial button to divert all calls to Voicemail

  1. Press Feature
  2. Press desired Line Key
  3. Enter *1 followed by 26700
    NOTE: If you make a mistake entering the number, just wait for the display to clear (about 8 seconds) and start again
  4. Press Feature
  5. Screen will show 'SPEED SET'
  6. The phone will reboot and once completed the button will be ready for use

Setup a Speed Dial button to cancel diversion to Voicemail

  1. Press Feature
  2. Press desired Line Key
  3. Enter #1 followed by 26700
    NOTE: If you make a mistake entering the number, just wait for the display to clear (about 8 seconds) and start again
  4. Press Feature
  5. Screen will show 'SPEED SET'
  6. The phone will reboot and once completed the button will be ready for use

Using a Speed Dial button

  1. Pick up the handset
  2. Press desired Line Key
