Cisco AnyConnect Client install options:

Please ensure that your device has an Apple supported operating system installed before attempting to install this software. Check Apple MacOS End of Life (https://endoflife.date/macos)

The Cisco AnyConnect App can be found in the Apple App Store by searching "AnyConnect".

  1. Install free AnyConnect app
  2. Open the app and select Add VPN Connection
  3. Add Connection
  4. Update the Add VPN Connection dialog box as follows:
    Description: Type UniSA
    Server Address: Type vpn.unisa.edu.au
  5. Click Save
  6. Set the AnyConnect VPN to ON
  7. Click vpn.unisa.edu.au
  8. Update the Authentication dialog box as follows:
    Username: <your UniSA username>
    Password: <your UniSA password>
  9. Click Connect

Once successfully connected you will see a tick next to the connection details.  You will also notice a VPN icon appear in the top bar of the iPad.  This shows that the VPN is connected.

With VPN connected you are able to use the appropriate application to connect to your remote desktop or access files.

NOTE: Remember to disconnect the VPN when it is no longer required (open the application again, select the VPN Connection).

NOTE: If you experience issues downloading Cisco AnyConnect this could be due to the version of Linux you are running, which Cisco does not support. You will need to convert to a mainstream version of Linux or use another device/operating system.

UniSA STEM users should follow the Installation Guide to ensure only the necessary modules of the AnyConnect client are installed.
