Student Apps via Citrix

UniSA Student Applications is a service allowing you to access general and course specific application software on personal devices including desktop computers, laptops, tablets and smart phones, wherever an Internet connection is available. 

While some software is available to all students access to some is determined by your course enrolment. Additional software applications will be progressively added to UniSA Student Applications extending the services offered for remote study. A compete list of available software applications.

Foodworks

  1. Go to https://vapps.unisa.edu.au
  2. Enter UniSA username
  3. Enter UniSA password
  4. Click Log On
    NOTE:
    The web browser will either automatically check if Citrix Receiver is installed or you will need to click Detect Receiver. If not installed you will be prompted to install the latest version of Citrix Receiver.
    1. Tick I agree with the Citrix License Agreement
    2. Click Install/Download
    3. Click Run or Save on the Citrix Receiver Web client
      NOTE: Follow the usual process for installing software according to the web browser you are using.
    4. Click Run
    5. If prompted allow Citrix Receiver to make changes to your device
  5. Click Start on Welcome to Citrix Receiver screen 
  6. Tick Accept the license agreement
  7. Click Install
  8. Click Finish
  9. Click Allow if prompted to run the Citrix Systems, Inc Add-on
    NOTE: A secondary window may also show, click Allow.
  10. You will be presented with a list of applications you have access to.
  11. Click desired application
    NOTE:
    The first time you launch an application you may be prompted for access through firewall, click Allow Access.

NOTE: The below might slightly vary between iOS and Android devices.

  1. Go to Play Store or App Store
  2. Search for Citrix Workspace
  3. Tap Install
  4. Tap Allow for Allow Workspace to access photos, media and files on your device?
  5. Tap Deny for Allow Workspace to make and manage phone calls?
  6. Tap Deny for Allow Workspace to record audio?
  7. Tap Deny for Allow Workspace to access this device's location?
  8. Tap Get Started
  9. Enter vapps.unisa.edu.au for company email or Store URL
  10. Tap Continue
  11. Tap Trust for Certificate Warning
  12. Enter UniSA username
  13. Enter UniSA password
  14. Tap SIGN IN
  15. The Student Applications resources screen will open showing the applications you have access to.

NOTE: The storage provided by the UniSA Student Applications environment is only temporary storage. Files that are not accessed for 10 days or more will be erased. It is highly recommended that save your work regularly and once you have finished working on a file that you copy it to a local storage device.

Student Apps maps your computers HDD as C: drive (Local Disk).

NOTE: Uploading files can be very slow depending on your network connection so you may prefer to upload the files to the UniSA Student Apps storage before logging in.

NOTE: If you are not on campus you will need to connect to UniSA VPN before you can access the storage directly.

  1. Map network drive to storage location: smb://uninet.unisa.edu.au/cxfiles/p-rf/<username>.uninet
    NOTE: Where <username> is your UniSA username.
  2. Authenticate when prompted with your UniSA credentials.
  3. Open the newly mapped drive
  4. Documents folder contains folders and files from within Student Apps
  5. You can drag/drop or copy/paste files from the Student Apps drive to your local drive

    NOTE: Where <username> is your UniSA username.
  2. Open the newly mapped drive
  3. My documents folder contains folders and files from within Student Apps
  4. You can drag/drop or copy/paste files from the Student Apps drive to your local drive

Using macOS

  1. Map network drive to storage location: smb://uninet.unisa.edu.au/cxfiles/p-rf/<username>.uninet
    NOTE: Where <username> is your UniSA username.
  2. Authenticate when prompted with your UniSA credentials.
  3. Open the newly mapped drive
  4. Documents folder contains folders and files from within Student Apps
  5. You can drag/drop or copy/paste files from the Student Apps drive to your local drive

All applications launched from the UniSA Student Applications environment will have access to the Follow-You printing solution available across the University campuses. To use this printer, you will need to select if from the print dialogue box within the application you wish to print from. The printer name is \\itupw-csprint0.uninet.unisa.edu.au\Follow-You-Print-Q

NOTE: Each application has a slightly different print dialogue window, but the name of the printer remains the same.
