How do I access Student Apps on my Windows device?

Citrix Receiver is a lightweight client which must be installed on your PC or device to allow access and interaction to the UniSA Student Applications environment. The Citrix Receiver client only needs to be installed once unless an update or repair is required. The following points outline the steps involved for installing the Citrix Receiver client. Please note that due to your individual device security settings, you may see more or less prompts during installation and if you have any concerns please contact the IT Help Desk for assistance.

  1. Open Internet Explorer and go to 
    connect to vapps

  2. Enter your UniSA network username and password. Click Log On.

  3. Internet Explorer will detect if Citrix Receiver is installed. If not you will be prompted to install the latest version of Citrix Receiver.

  4. Click on the I agree with the Citrix License Agreement and click Installinstall citrix receiver

  5. You will be promoted to Run, Save or Cancel the download of the Citrix Receiver Web client. Click on Run.

  6. You may be prompted to allow Citrix Receiver to make changes to your device. Click Yes.

  7. You will be presented with the Welcome to Citrix Receiver. Click Start.

  8. Accept the license agreement. Click install.

  9. After installation, click Finish.

  10. You may be prompted to run the Citrix Systems, Inc Add-on. Click Allow.

  11. A secondary window may also show. Click Allow.

  12. Citrix Receiver is now successfully installed. You will be presented with a list of applications you have access to.

  13. Click on the application you’d like to launch.

  14. The first time you launch an application you may be prompted for access through firewall. Click Allow Access
