Due to the nature of your role and responsibilities, or your specific personal circumstances, it may not be feasible or appropriate for you to transition working from home (or an alternative location) at this time.

If you are working on campus, please work with your line manager/supervisor to complete the Working on Campus during the COVID-19 Response form to ensure the appropriate support and arrangements are in place.

If you need to attend campus at any time you must check-in your attendance through the UniSA Safezone app. You can do this through the ‘check-in’ button on the app homepage (which can also be set to ‘automatic’ under the settings tab). This will allow our security staff to concentrate their patrols on areas where we have staff and students on campus. Access to campus buildings will now be via swipe card access and security officers will be able to assist with access to other buildings and spaces if required.

On 24 April 2020, National Cabinet agreed to the National COVID-19 Safe Workplace Principles. Nationally consistent work health and safety guidance on COVID-19 has been provided by Safe Work Australia, and, for staff already working on campus - particularly those staff delivering workshops and practicals on campus - it’s important to ensure you are aware of these guidelines and that the activities you are involved in are undertaken in a way which complies with the advice. If you have any questions please contact our Work Health and Safety Consultants or via email at HSIM.SafetyWellbeing@unisa.edu.au

The University is providing free parking options on Currie Street, as well as at our Mawson Lakes and Magill campuses. To find out more about these arrangements, contact the Facilities Management Unit.

Social Distancing Protocols

Whilst working on campus, it is vital that staff observe the UniSA Social Distancing Protocol. These have been informed by the Department of Health’s latest advice on social distancing,  and should be adhered to at all times to support the safety and wellbeing of our University community.

Please remember: if you do come on to campus, any non-essential gatherings must be restricted to no more than two people at any one time and a distance of at least 1.5 metres must be maintained.

Campus Security

UniSA’s Campus Security is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Security Officers patrol the campuses regularly by day and continue to offer protection after office hours. They can provide you with first aid or help in an emergency.

You can contact Campus Security by phone by:

  • Using a security phone: Several locations on all campuses are equipped with emergency wall phones for direct contact with security staff. These are distinguished by a sign overhead. They will automatically dial security.
  • Calling 88888 from internal University telephones
  • Calling 1800 500 911 (24-hours, free call)

Travel to and from campus

The University is providing free parking options on Currie Street and at our Mawson Lakes and Magill campuses to facilitate staff travelling safely to and from work and to minimise the impact on public transport. To find out more about these arrangements, contact the Facilities Management Unit
