In the event that you are unwell and need to access personal leave due to COVID-19, the University has introduced a new leave reason within our myUniSA online staff portal. If you are accessing your leave provisions as a result of COVID-19, for each leave request, you can select the leave reason specific to COVID-19. This will assist us to ensure you are provided with the correct leave type and enable us to monitor the impact of COVID-19 on our workforce.

Your leave entitlements enable you to access accrued recreation leave or your applicable long service leave entitlements, if you have exhausted your personal leave or your family responsibility leave and still need to access further leave requirements because you are unwell due to COVID-19, or you need further carer’s leave. Don’t forget to select COVID-19 as the reason in this case. If your leave entitlements have been exhausted, speak to your manager about accessing special leave without pay.
