Are you ready for the next step in your career and looking for some ideas on how to manage your mindset? Are you ready to challenge yourself to re-direct the neural pathways of how you talk to yourself and make a conscious choice to hear your own voice? Do you want to understand how to positively reframe that inner monologue and start turning it into beneficial dialogue with others? Self-talk can be your best asset in your toolkit for developing the CEO of Self.

We will also explore ways to identify appropriate mentors and sponsors to support you in taking this next step and understanding the difference between them. Engaging a sponsor can be challenging, so we will walk you through the best ways to ask for sponsorship.

In this snapshot of the Women in Leadership summit, we will unpack the key messages and hear stories from the session, followed by open for a discussion with a panel of people passionate about supporting the gender equity journey.

Kim Burley was the winner of the Women’s Development Program’s inaugural Women In Leadership Summit Competition earlier this year and is back from the conference as part of our program to share the learnings with us. As an academic in UniSA Online and former Communications Manager in the Federal Government, Kim brings a wealth of experience and passion in supporting gender equity initiatives to this short seminar.

Women in Leadership Summit Competition Information

This year's Women's Development Program is doing something a bit different.

This year, we're offering one lucky UniSA lady conference tickets to the Women in Leadership Summit in Sydney on 24 – 27 September. The People team will be shouting your tickets, flights and accommodation for the conference to the lucky winner of our inaugural WILS competition. All you need to do is fill out the survey below with a few details and we will ask your manager to sign off with a quick email to us.

I bet you're thinking "what's the catch"? Well... here in the People team, we love learning and we want to spread it far and wide. So on your return from the conference, we would need a commitment from you to produce a 90-minute interactive seminar for an audience of your peers on what you learnt! Of course our lovely Organisational Development Consultants will be here to help you develop it and support you in delivering it. Not too bad a trade-off, right? Then you can add that feather to your cap too!

The winner was selected based on their answers to the questions in the survey.

Competition closed 5.00pm Friday 23 August and the winner was notified via email by on Monday 26 August.
