Gender Equity Employee Advisory Network

Expressions of Interest (EOI)

UniSA is committed to supporting active participation by employees in structures and activities that bring about cultural change in the workplace.

We are currently seeking an ‘expression of interest’ from individuals who are interested in joining the UniSA Gender Equity Employee Advisory Network.


Purpose

Network members will:

  • Provide advice on issues that impact negatively on the participation and advancement of women within the University and recommend solutions to proactively address them,
  • Oversee the progress of the Athena SWAN bronze accreditation gender equity action plan, and provide recommendations on the pathway to Silver accreditation.
  • Act as a role model and advocate for gender equity and promote gender equity across the University,

Eligibility

You may self-nominate for membership based on your capacity to meet the criteria below:

  1. You work for the University of South Australia,
  2. You understand the issues associated with gender equity as it relates to the impact this has on the university community and society, and
  3. You are willing to work in a positive manner with diverse stakeholder groups to progress the vision and goals of the University of South Australia.

As part of the University’s Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Framework, it is essential that the Employee Advisory Network consists of both women and men and members from a diverse range of backgrounds with varying experiences, in order to ensure a wide range of views and perspectives are considered.

Prior to lodging your expression of interest, we encourage you to review the Employee Advisory Network Terms of Reference to familiarise yourself with the expectations and responsibilities of members.

EXPRESSION OF INTEREST


It is anticipated that the first Network meeting will be held in November this year.

Expressions of Interest must be submitted by 5pm Friday 12 November 2021.


Please note: The Gender Equity Employee Advisory Network will have a pre-determined number of places available for membership. In the event that you are not selected as a member your knowledge and input will still be appreciated, as future opportunities for participation in gender equity related initiatives will be available.
