RTIS Roadshows

Research and Innovation Services (RIS) is coordinating four information sessions on the 2019 Research Themes Investment Scheme (RTIS): Seed Funding scheme. Sessions will be held on all four campuses.

The RTIS will establish grants, valued between $10,000 -$40,000, for projects that are primarily focussed on the formation of interdisciplinary research teams to investigate a research challenge inspired by end-users and/or the community. External partners and/or external cash contributions would be welcomed but are not essential.

Several new elements have been incorporated into the RTIS Seed funding scheme for the 2019 application round (for funding in 2020). These are intended to

  • further embed Aboriginal Research within the Research Themes
  • introduce the UniSA Industry Sectors, and
  • provide an opportunity for early career and mid-career researchers to lead research projects.

Attendees at the session will hear from Research Theme Convenors about their respective Research Themes, and what they are looking for in terms of proposals aligning with the theme's Big Questions. A presentation from RIS on the funding rules and the application and assessment process will also be provided.

While the session will touch on all Research Themes, the following Themes will be covered in more detail in each of the sessions as follows:
