The following opportunities, with additional funding to support students in undertaking them, are available. The grants outlined below are in addition to the UniSA International Travel Grant and OS-Help, providing you meet eligibility criteria.  

Rick and Barbara Allert International Business School Travel Grant up to $10,000 

This grant supports a third year students to gain an international experience as part of their learning. This grant is designed to assist recipients with their living and/or education expenses. 

Eligibility and selection criteria:

  • Enrolled in an undergradaute program from the Business school
  • Completed a minimum of 54 units of study (including credit) prior to applyiing for the scholarship
  • Participating in an overseas experience approved by UniSA International
  • Demonstrated financial hardship
  • full-time study load
  • submission of a written statement 
  • GPA above 5

Applicants are required to provide a written statement (maximum 500 words) detailing: 

  • Reasons for studying their UniSA program and how the degree supports their future aspirations including career goals
  • Details of the travel arrangements including costs, dates, country, experience type (eg. study tour, summer school, internship, semester exchange)
  • Academic achievements 
  • Demonstrated financial disadvantage that the applicant wishes to be taken into account 
  • A breakdown of how the grant funds will benefit them

How to apply: 

Applications are accessed through myScholarships (via logging into the myUniSA online portal). 

In addition to applying online, applications are required to provide a written statment as outlined above to the UniSA Scholarships Office.

Asian Experience Grant - Grant valued up to $12,500 for one student

This grant will be awarded to a high-performing student who is enrolled in the Bachelof of Business (Property) degree at UniSA. The grant will provide one student with the opportunity to undertake an overseas internship in Singapore to develop their property skills and experience in a global context. 

The internship will be specifically run by Mapletree Investments  who are a leading real estate development, investment, capital and property management company headquartered in Singapore.  Participation in the internship will earn the student 4.5 unit course credit in their program in June/July (SP4).

Applicants are required to provide a personal written statement (up to 500 words) detailing: 

  • Reasons for studying in their current program
  • Academic achivements
  • Financial need
  • Future career goals
  • How the overseas internship will contribute to their career aspirations 

*Please note: students who have completed 54 units (12 courses) will be preferenced. 

The Asian Experience Grant is available from 2018 to 2023 inclusive and has been kindly donated from UniSA Property alumnus.

Funding (criteria applies): 

  • Asian Experience Grant up to the value of $12,500 includes: internship fee, flights, accommodation, overseas airport transfers etc
  • OS HELP Loan which is a deferred HELP debt loan for undergraduate Australian Citizen. For study in Asia the loan amount is up to $8,149 in 2019

Please note: The receipent of the Asian Experience Grant are not eligible to apply for the UniSA International $1,000 travel grant.

ACICIS - Indonesian Business, Law and Society - Full Semester Exchange, January and June

ACICIS offers this full semester exchange Indonesian Business, Law and Society Program (IBLS) is a semester-long program hosted by the Islamic University of Indonesia (UII), Yogyakarta. Taught in English, this program provides students with a comprehensive understanding of Indonesian business, law and society at regional and global levels, as seen from an Indonesian perspective, while developing necessary critical skills to enter their respective fields. The IBLS runs in two intakes each year: from August to December, and from January to June. It includes one month of intensive compulsory Indonesian language and culture classes, at beginner, intermediate or advanced levels and you are able to choose to either do full-time study only or a mix of study and a 3 day a week nine week long internship.  Click here for further information and to apply.

Grants: New Colombo Plan Mobility grant of $5,000 are available to ACICIS member university students participating in this program
