Semester exchange

A wide range of full semester international exchange opportunities are available to UniSA Business School students at partner universities around the world. To be eligible for full semester exchange, students must undertake the equivalent of a minimum of 13.5 UniSA units or a maximum of 18 UniSA units at the partner institution (27 unit minimum or 36 unit maximum for full year).

Student Exchange is managed by the Study Overseas team at UniSA International.

Eligibility criteria:

  • Grade Point Average (GPA) of 4.0 or above
  • No more than 9 failed units (2 courses) in the program in which you are currently enrolled.
  • Undergraduate students - at point of application, completion of at least a minimum 36 units in the program in which you are currently enrolled. Or alternatively, the 36 units can be made up from 18 units in your current program and 18 units from a previous UniSA program (or SAIBT credit).
  • For postgraduate students at point of application, completion of at least 9 units in your current UniSA program or completion of undergraduate program at UniSA.

The application process

Applying for exchange is easy; however you will need to research where you'd like to go and what you'd like to study. Look at the application form carefully and make sure you know what information to include as part of your application. Some examples will be:

  • course selections,
  • evidence of research/statement of purpose, and
  • an Academic Referee.

The Study Overseas team assists students with the exchange process. They will help you apply for exchange with the partner and will make contact with the partner on your behalf. The Student Mobility Officer in the Business School can help you with selecting partner opportunities and providing general advice to assist you with the process.

Both undergraduate and postgraduate coursework students are eligible to apply. Please note some partner universities only accept either undergraduate or postgraduate students. International fee-paying students may also apply but cannot participate in an exchange to their home country unless authorised by the Study Overseas team.

Postgraduate research students can undertake some of their research activities overseas and should contact the Graduate Research Centre for more information.
