The International Summer University program consists of two courses taught over three weeks. You are able to choose from courses such as human resource management, marketing, management, international management, social media marketing, strategic management, financial management, sustainable business, global marketing or international marketing. The successful completion of the undergraduate program is worth 8 ECTS and the postgraduate program is worth 9 ECTS.

Fees: As an exchange partner with the University of South Australia you do not have to pay tuition fees as these are included as part of your fees at UniSA. For this to apply you will need to be nominated to participate by UniSA. Please note that the program fee (€ 1,370 for undergraduate and €1,580 for postgraduate students), travel and living expenses are at your own cost.

Belgium

KU Leuven

"Europe Inside Out"

Location: Leuven, Belgium
Dates:  July
Duration: 14 days

The Europe Inside Out program offers majors in Doing Business in Europe, and Innovation and Entrepreneurship in Europe which cover topics such as finance, corporate governance and European economics. This is paired with visits to local businesses and cultural experiences.

UniSA students who participate in this program earn 4 ECTS upon successful completion. Students will be required to write an additional paper of 4,000 words (due in August) on a topic dealt with in class to earn an extra 2 ECTS credits (7.5 ECTS equals 4.5 units at UniSA). Please note there is an extra fee for writing this paper ontop of your tutition fees.

HEC Montrēal - Business French Summer School

Xiamen University - Xiamen Academy of International Law

Location: Xiamen, China

Xiamen Academy of International Law (Xiamen Academy) promotes academic exchange among legal communities across the globe, encourages students to examine major international issues, and by so doing seek ways to improve the possibilities for world peace and international cooperation. The courses are given in English or French. The summer program is aimed at individuals who are already familiar with international law. Courses held as part of the 2016 program included general course of public international law, from Leipzig to The Hague: The past and future of international criminal law, marine environmental protection and law of the sea: Practice of China, India, Japan and the Republic of Korea, foreign trade, foreign investment and national security, the evolution of air and space law and the changing structure of international economic law.

Fees: This program is not managed by UniSA and to be considered a place you must apply directly to the institution. Any fees, including tutition and program fees, are to be paid upfront and directly to the institution and you may not defer to UniSA. Please note that travel and living expenses are not included in the above fees and are at your own cost.

Aarhus University  School of Business and Social Sciences - Aarhus BSS Winter School

Primarily aimed at Australian university students, the Aarhus BSS Winter School provides a mixture of lectures, classroom workshops, discussions, exercises and excursions. Aarhus University  School of Business and Social Sciences - AU Summer School

Location: Aarhus, Denmark

Duration: 2 weeks to 4 weeks, depending on number of courses chosen

AU Summer University is Aarhus University’s summer school which takes place on our beautiful campus every year in July and August. The program consists of a broad variety of courses, taught in English at bachelors and masters level, within the fields of arts, business and economics, media and communication, social science and law, health, science and technology. AU Summer University is divided into terms. During each term, students can earn 5 or 10 ECTS credits depending on course duration, with most courses taking around two weeks to complete. Students can only take one course at a time. 10 ECTS is equivalent to 4.5 units at UniSA.

ESCE - Ecole Superieure de Commere Exerieur - Summer in Paris

This program introduces students to European business culture, focusing on the realities of doing business in Europe. The program is structured around three modules: fashion, luxury and art management; doing business in Europe; digital entrepreneurship in the new economy. ESC Rennes School of Business 

Luxury Marketing, Responsible Management and Competitive Strategy

There is a range of courses offered at ESC Rennes School for Business in the Northern Hemisphere Summer months. The undergraduate summer intensive courses include luxury marketing and responsible management. The postgraudate summer intensive courses include subjects such as competitive strategy. International Summer School in Marseille or Bordeaux or Paris

There are nine program packages and up to 19 courses to choose from in total, each course is 5 ECTS credits and 1-2 weeks in duration. Toulouse Business School – Summer School

The Toulouse Business School Summer School focuses on the diversity and complexity of doing business in Europe. Modules are equivalent to 4.5 units at UniSA and offered in human resource management, strategy, finance, marketing, cross-cultural communication or innovation. There is also an optional module in French as a foreign language for either beginners or intermediate students. 

Completion of the single summer school and French language program allows students to earn up to 12 ECTS credit
(equivalent of 9.0 units at UniSA with program director approval).

Toulouse Business School & University of Ljubljana - Joint Summer School

Location: Toulouse, France & Ljubljana, Slovenia

This summer school is co-hosted by both the Toulouse Business School and the University of Ljubljana. Beginning with three weeks in Toulouse where you will undertake two courses and then moving by coach through to Ljubljana in Slovenia to undertake a further two courses. You are able to select from a variety of marketing, accounting, finance, human resource management and international business. Courses are available

EBS Business School - Business Summer, Undergraduate and Masters

The undergraduate and masters business summer program focuses on topics such as European integration and monetary unification,

It includes visits to the European institutions in Strasbourg, France, a German car manufacturer and a local organisation. Social and sightseeing activities are also incorporated in the program. Successful completion of the program results in 10 ECTS. The course is ideally suited to students studying economics, law, accounting or other related fields.

Undergraduate students in their 2nd year and onwards are eligible to apply.

EBS Law School – European Law Summer 

Location: Oestrich-Winkel, Germany
Dates: June (please note: this session will not be running in 2020)

EBS Law UniversityEBS Law Summer is suited to all levels of expertise in EU Law. The course begins with an intensive, one-week introductory course on the law of the European Union (4 ECTS) to provide students with the necessary foundations for the program. Students may then choose from six different electives, each dealing with more detailed questions of European business and commercial law.  Social and sightseeing activities are also incorporated in the program. Successful completion of the program results in between 10 and 16 ECTS depending on the number of eelctives selected.

Hong Kong

Chinese University of Hong Kong (CHUK) - International Summer School

Location: Sha Tin, Hong Kong
Dates: July/August
Duration: 3 Weeks

Experience the CHUK's vibrant campus in summer time when 650+ students from around the world attend this International Summer School program. The 13 day program is aimed at undergraduate students wanting to immerse themselves in Chinese culture through lectures, excursions, informal interactive sessions, all taught in English. There is an optional Beijing four day tour which you can choose to add on at the end of the course at an additional cost of HK$6,000 (which includes round-trip fare, accommodation, most meals and entrance fees). The tour will visit Beijing's major landmarks such as The Great Wall, Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square, Olympic stadiums and the Summer Palace.

Successful completion of this program is 6 Credits which is equivalent to one 4.5 unit UniSA course.

Hong Kong Baptist University - HKBU Summer Program

Location: Kowloon, Hong Kong

HKBU Summer Program has over 30 courses available in business, communication, economics, finance and marketing for undergraduate students to choose from. Each course is credit-bearing and each carries two or three credits (please note four credits = 4.5 units at UniSA). Built into the program, students will have further opportunity to experience and learn about Hong Kong through a three-day cultural trip to Macao which is culturally and historically rich. 

Undergraduate students who are not a native English speaker are required to have a minimum score of 550 (paper-based)/80 (internet-based) or above in TOEFL; or a score of 6.0 above in IELTS. Alternatively a faculty member who can testify your ability to study an English-medium instruction environment will suffice.

Japan

Meiji University - Cool Japan Summer Program 

Location:  Tokyo, Japan
Dates: July 
Duration: 2 weeks

This is a 12-day program held on Meiji University Surugadai Campus (Tokyo), comprised of a series of lectures, field trips and workshops on a wide variety of subjects relating to Japan's contemporary images as well as its traditional culture.

English will be used thrmeiji logooughout the course, so Japanese language ability is not required.

In the past the program has travelled to Nikko (Tochigi prefecture) and visited one of the shrines and temples of Nikko (UNESCO World Heritage) to experience nature and the traditional aspects of Japan outside the city for two days.

Meiji Campus

Fees: This program is not managed by UniSA and to be considered a place you must apply directly to the institution. Kwansei Gakuin University (KGU) - Japanese Studies Summer Program 

Location:  Nishinomiya, Hyogo. Japan
Dates: February
Duration: 3 weeks

Kwansei Gakuin University campus is a 30 minute train ride from Osaka, the city which is known for it's architecture, nightlife and hearty street food. This summer program is three weeks long and designed for students who wish to learn about 'cool Japan', which includes contemporary Japanese culture and products such as animation manga, games, Japanese traditional cusisnes and commodities. The lessons are taught in English. You will learn about Japan's cultural and creative industries that shape 'cool Japan' from a business studies and social sciences perspective. 

The courses offered are (four credits for two courses): 

  • Japanese Studies Seminar A (Cool Japan: History and Culture)
  • Japanese Studies Seminar B (Cool Japan: Business and Society).

Students must undertake both courses (four credits) to be equivalent to one 4.5 unit course at UniSA. This program is available for both undergraduate and postgraduate students.

Malaysia

Taylor's University - Summer Course on Malaysian Legal System (with optional internship)

Location: Subang Jaya, Kuala Lumpur
Dates: January or August 
Duration: 2 weeks without internship and 3 weeks including internship

The summer course on the Malaysian legal system is organised through collaboration with prestigious law firms and includes the following events: 

  • Seminars on the Malaysian Consitution and legal instructions such as the Malaysian Parliament, the Attorney General, the judiciary, the Syariah Courts and legal profession
  • Field trips to the parliament, High Court, Syariah Courts, Palace of Justice (where judicial courts and officers are housed), Attorney General's chambers, legal aid centre and Bar Council
  • Internship placement at leading law firms in Malaysia, including those with international links.

The course aims for you to reflect on your experience of the Malaysian legal system and on the workings of the law related organisations in Malaysia. You should be able to demonstrate knowledge within Malaysian law or legal system and in a comparative context. Also gain a valuable experience during the one-week internship.

Nanyang Technological University - GEM Trailblazer Summer Program

The Global Education and Mobility (GEM) offers the Trailblazer Summer Program either in a two-week, four-week or six-week choices and students can choose through various course tracks (choose to participate in a minimum of one course and maximum two courses) including: 

  1. Language and cultural studies
  2. Entrepreneurship and innovation

Slovenia

University of Ljubljana - Take the Best from East and West Summer School

Location: Ljubljana, Slovenia

With lectures held in English, the University of Ljubljana Summer School is held across three weeks in July. Students are able to underake one or two courses as part of the program each worth 6 or 7 ECTS upon successful completion.

South Korea

Sookmyung Women's University - SISS (Sookmyung International Summer School)

Location: Seoul, South Korea

Study at Sookmyung Women's University which is located in the heart of Seoul City, a university known for specialising in their leadership development program, allowing students to achieve their career paths. Their International Summer School is taught in English and has a variety of courses to choose from in either session 1 or 2: 

Topic options include:

  • Intercultural communication (2 credits)
  • Future journalism in the immersive media environment (3 credits)
  • Music and media production technology (3 credits)
  • The Asian economic miracle (3 credits)
  • International business and entrepreneurship (3 credits).

Sweden

Stockholm Business School  - Summer programme

Location: Stockholm, Sweden

Each year five undergraduate business and two law courses are offered within the program. Students can either stay for two weeks and select one or two courses, stay for four weeks and select two to five courses or stay for

six weeks and select 3 - 6 courses. Each course attracts 3 ECTS upon successful completion. Please note that 7.5 ECTS = 4.5 units at UniSA. You will need to choose 2-3 courses at Stockholm for one 4.5 unit course credit (with program director approval).

Linkoping University  - Winter programme

Location: Linkoping, Sweden
Dates: December, January and February
Duration:  3, 6 or 9 weeks

The faculty of Arts and Sciences and faculty of Educational Sciences at Linköping University offer short-term courses in English for exchange students. Short courses are offered during three periods: December-mid January, January and end of January-end of February. Students are welcome to study one, two or all three periods (only one course per period).

There are courses offered in undergraduate and postgraduate level and each course is worth 7.5 ECTS credits which is equivalent to 4.5 units at UniSA.

The Netherlands

HAN University of Applied Sciences - Summer School

Join the HAN University Summer School program which is specifically targeted at undergraduate business students in their 2nd or 3rd year (non-native English speakers require IELTS 6.5).

Please note that you can only choose one of the below courses in either summer or winter school. 

Summer school programs: 

  • Supply chain management or
  • European culture, business and entrepreneurship. 

Winter school program: 

  • European culture, business and entrepreneurship. 

Successful completion of one summer school course at HAN is worth 4 ECTS plus a 1500-word reflective report to be assessed by UniSA is equivalent to 4.5 units at UniSA.

Colorado State University - Summer Session

Study at Colorado State University at their Summer Session schedule - where you have a choice of four weeks or eight weeks duration and with over 100 courses to choose from, there is a range of undergraduate business courses available for you to study. Successful completion of 3 credits at Colorado State Uni is equivalent to 4.5 units at UniSA.

Aston Business School - Aston Summer Program

The Aston Summer Program (ASP) offers a variety of courses, from an exploration of contemporary UK issues and preparation for IELTS in ‘UK Explorer’ to the political context of ‘Doing Business in Europe’, investigation of strategic marketing in turbulent times and advanced research methods: multilevel

Fees: Vary between £795 and £1495 depending on the course selected. This program is not part of the exchange partner agreement. Please note that other travel and living expenses are at your own cost.

Kingston University - Summer School

Location: London, England

The Kingston University Summer School classes focus on British culture and include experiential learning in and around the London area and are worth 3 U.S./6 ETCS credits each upon successful completion. With classes such as British art and architecture, London and it's literature, London: global city of enterprise, Muggle Madness: Harry Potter and other British icons, the classes aim to minimise the amount of time spent in a classroom and maximise the amount of experiential learning in and around the London area. All classes require a lot of walking as they are all field trip based, so please only apply if you are happy to be on your feet a lot! You can choose one or two courses as part of the summer school.

Kingston University

Fees: This program is not managed by UniSA and to be considered a place you must apply directly to the institution. Any fees including tutition and program fees are to be paid upfront and directly to the institution and you may not defer to UniSA. Please note that travel and living expenses are not included in the above fees and are at your own cost. 

There is an additional program fee which does apply it covers accommodation, airport pickup, a travelcard and some social events and field trips. This fee will be calculated by Kingston University upon application.

Lancaster University - Global Summer School

Location: Lancaster, England
Dates: June/July
Duration: 3 weeks

Experience a summer school program at a highly ranked global university in Lancaster, north-west of England and 30 minutes from the beautiful National Lakes District. You will study with students from all around the world through a varied program of lectures, seminars and field trips.

Course list for Global Summer School: 

  • Leadership and sustainability innovation (8 ECTS)
  • International cultural experience (6 ECTS)
  • International commercial law (8 ECTS)
  • Global media studies (8 ECTS). 

Successful completion of 6 or 8 ECTS is equivalent to 4.5 units at UniSA. Please note that the global media studies program has been pre-approved for course subsitution for either UniSA course: Professional writing (COMM 3037 )or ideas, innovation and communication (COMM 1060) or elective course.

University of Strathclyde Business School - Hospitality and Tourism Winter School Program (J-Term)

Location: Glasgow, Scotland
Dates: January
Duration: 2 weeks

Experience an innovative and inspiring insight into Hospitality and Tourism Management Winter School Program with the University of Strathclyde Business School. You will learn about the key theories and themes in hospitality and tourism management. During the program you will attend lectures, seminars and field trips to help you explore the evolution of various niche tourism industries such as sport, film and TV, music, events, food and the outdoors. You will also have the opportunity to immerse yourself into the 'Scottish cultural experience' with a range of cultural activities (cooking workshop, bagpiping session, Celidh - traditional Scottish party).

Successful completion of this program is 2.5 ECTS. UniSA business students are required to complete an additional report due one month after return for 4.5 units equivalency at UniSA. This report is managed by Business Student Mobility Team and you.
