Work is underway to create a seamless, secure, and scalable network for Adelaide University. To support this, upgrades will be taking place between 23 September and 3 October 2025 on the UniSA City East Campus network, aligning it with Adelaide University’s system. This work is essential to ensure consistent, modern, and high-performing connectivity across both institutions. During the upgrade, network access including internet, email, printing, OneDrive, and shared drives will be temporarily unavailable in each building. The building management system will also be impacted, affecting alerting systems (e.g. freezer temperature alerts).
Between September and October, six buildings at City East will be migrated to the new network. While these upgrades are necessary, they will involve planned outages during the migration period for each building. The project team is working closely with key staff to schedule migrations at the most suitable times and to minimise disruption.
Between 9am and 5pm on the scheduled date of migration of your building, there will be no access to the network – including internet, OneDrive, email, and shared drives. The below table provides the dates in which each building will be impacted. The building management system will also be impacted, affecting alerting systems (e.g. freezer temperature alerts).
You may also experience temporary interruptions to your connectivity during the broader migration period.
After migration, you’ll benefit from faster, more reliable network performance.
