Be well! Check out everything that's happening and available around campus for you.

October is Wellbeing Month at UniSA!

October every year is always a big month for taking care of yourself. As the weather changes and exams and final assignments are rounding the corner, the UniSA team and USASA want to remind all students that the UniSA community is an active, inclusive, and supportive one all year-round, and make sure that you guys are prepped and ready for whatever life throws at you, whenever!

Each week has its own special focus:
Week 1: Sleep Awareness Week (1–7 Oct)
Week 2: World Mental Health Week (8–14 Oct)
Week 3: Nutrition Week (15–21 Oct)
Week 4: Physical Health Week (22–28 Oct)

We've got a whole bunch of events, handy hints, and freebies coming your way, so keep your eyes on all our social media channels across the month, and scroll down now for your World Mental Health Week dosage! Click on the banners for more!

Healthy Mind
Remember that managing your mental health is no different to managing your physical health. If you are struggling to cope with stress, sadness or worry, remember the University is here to help you.

Counselling
UniSA's counselling service offers free and confidential counselling to all students to help with managing any personal issues that could affect your studies. Bookings can be made easily online.

The Desk provides students with online wellbeing, study and problem management resources that are available to access anytime and from the comfort of your own space.

What can you do to help?

UniSA has our own personalised search engine designed to connect students with industry volunteering opportunities. If you're passionate about mental health, there's plenty of ways for you to help out.

Check Out the 'Visualising Mental Health' Exhibition
One of the ongoing challenges medical professionals face in preventing and treating mental health is communicating important mental health concepts to the wider community. From 8 October to 26 October visit the visual tools designed to translate the complex concepts and educate the general public in the Hawke Building.

Support World Mental Health Day
Many of those affected by mental illness don't seek help because of stigma. We can all do something to help shed a more positive light on mental health and start viewing it through the eyes of those in need not through a sterotype. Make a promise and raise awareness on 10 October.
