Did you know that the Mawson Lakes campus has a community garden?
The
community garden is ours to take care of – there are no university gardeners who oversee it. It's about people and plants growing together and providing free fresh food for everyone. So it’s up to us to get out there, plant some food, pull out weeds, and keep things growing - with no community there is no community garden!
There is always plenty of work to be done and volunteers are always welcome. The garden is a place of sharing, togetherness, respect, equity, healing, listening, fun and inspiration. The garden needs you but you just might need the fresh air, green space, exercise, and wellbeing boost the garden provides too.
If
you'd like some time out to come and lend a hand, come along to one of our regular Tuesday gardening sessions, 11am – 2pm between the P and SCT buildings.
