Make the best decisions to support healthy eating both on and off campus

University life can be a busy time, trying to balance study, exams, social interactions and work commitments. Often nutrition can be overlooked or of low priority to students.

A healthy diet provides many amazing benefits, both physically and mentally, that can assist in maintaining energy levels, concentration and a healthy body weight, all of which can help with your studies! Making healthy food choices doesn’t have to be complicated, boring or expensive.  View healthy eating tips put together by your fellow UniSA student, Konstance Nicolopolous.

University Scholars Leadership Symposium 2018

Humanitarian Affairs Asia and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) will host the 9th University Scholars Leadership Symposium (USLS) 2018 at United Nations, Bangkok in Thailand from 1 - 7 August 2018. The theme of the Symposium is “INSPIRING CONFIDENCE, INSPIRE CHANGE”.

The USLS is a week-long Leadership Conference in Social Development for young leaders from all over the world. The purpose of the event is to instil a sense of social responsibility as well as to cultivate the attributes of selfless giving among our emerging world leaders.

The participants will learn what it means to give back to the community and be challenged to respond to the needs of the marginalised with works of kindness and unconditional service. Delegates will have the opportunity to expand their professional network and understanding of world affairs. They will be motivated to use their knowledge and leadership skills to impact the communities in need.

The delegates will have the opportunity to expand their professional network and meet representatives from numerous United Nations Agencies at the Symposium. Last year, 11 United Nations Agencies showcased their work during the inaugural three-day exhibition: UNDP, UNAIDS, UNFPA, UN-WOMEN, UNV, UNESCO, UN OCHA, UNHRC, UNESCAP, UNICEF and UN-Habitat.

More information about the program, speakers and registration fees of the Symposium can be found at www.universityscholars.org.uk, or you can also email the USLS team.
