Top 5 Healthy Eating Tips

  1. Check through your pantry and fridge before going shopping. Then write a shopping list, accounting for any events for which you won’t need to provide your own meal, and including quantities so you don’t overbuy.
  2. Shop smart. Buy the fruit and vegetables that are in season, and make use of specials on your staples (e.g. flour, pasta, rice).
  3. Learn how to store your supplies correctly, so you can lengthen their life, and minimise your wastage.
  4. Flavour your meals naturally. Use soy sauce instead of powder sachets, and add frozen fruit to your porridge, muesli, or Weetbix.
  5. Remember to drink water! It is an essential nutrient – you need more than your body can produce.
