batyr's exam tips

The exam period can be a stressful time for all of us. People often put a lot of pressure on themselves to perform at an extremely high standard during this period, and can spend a large amount of time studying and forget to take time to for themselves. It’s extremely important to maintain your mental health so that you can function at your best during exams.

A build-up of stress or lack of sleep has been found to decrease cognitive performance, which can be detrimental during exam time. So this exam period remember to take time to do what you enjoy and to do what relaxes you, it could be the difference that gets you a better grade.

batyr's relaxation tips for exam time:
  • Maintain regular study breaks to relax
  • Make sure to get up out of your seat and stretch
  • Don't neglect time with friends
  • Stay active - go for a walk, run or play some sport
  • Prioritise 8 hours of sleep
Finally, but most importantly, do what makes you happy - take a bath, play video games, get lost in your favourite music or book, meditate, watch a movie; do what makes you smile.

Much love and good luck from the UniSA batyr team.
