FROM THE VICE CHANCELLOR

Share your thoughts on Enterprise25

The University’s strategic plan – Enterprise25 – is committed to introducing a new academic organisational structure that is oriented around our academic programs. Central to success will be ensuring that our resources are focused on the quality of our teaching, research and the student experience.

Our staff and students have been involved in collaborative exercises over recent months to co-create the design of our future program-oriented structure. These inputs have helped to inform a Discussion Paper

We are now interested in your thoughts on our proposal. To have your say, submit your response to the discussion questions included in the Discussion Paper through the online form here.

If you have any other comments, queries, or concerns, please send an email to enterprise25@unisa.edu.au.

See your 'Art on Campus'

Entries are now open for USASA's 2019 'Art on Campus' project.

Art on Campus is the perfect opportunity for UniSA students to express creativity and be showcased in the 2019 SALA show. The project unites aspiring artists, designers, and creatives from all disciplines across the university.

This year the artwork will be exhibited as an outdoor mural at City West Campus, with the top two voted entrants taking home individual prize packs. The two winning entrants will also have their artwork made into large decals, which will be displayed at all six UniSA campuses.

Artwork submissions are due by July 14th, so it's time to get creative!

Extended: SAMSTAG International Visual Arts Scholarships

Applications for the 2020 Samstag Scholarships have been extended to 30 July 2019.

The Samstag Scholarships were established in 1991 through the generous bequest of the late Gordon Samstag, an American artist who taught from 1961 to 1970 at the South Australian School of Art, now the School of Art, Architecture and Design, a part of the University of South Australia.

In his will, Gordon Samstag provided funds for awarding annual scholarships enabling Australian visual artists to study and develop their artistic capacities, skills and talents outside Australia. This remarkable gift ranks as one of the very great bequests to visual arts education in Australia.

From 2020, each scholarship covers reasonable costs for twelve months overseas, institutional fees for one academic year of study (where applicable), a tax-exempt stipend of US $50,000, return airfares, personal travel and medical insurance.
