Meet the UniSA pharmacist innovating at Pfizer in the US
This past year has been an unusual one to say the least. At Pfizer’s Groton-Connecticut site, pharmacometrician and pharmacy graduate Dr Jessica Wojciechowski (Associate Director) has been a little busier with the COVID-19 Pfizer vaccine development plan and authorisation.

After completing a PhD in Pharmacy and Medical Science at UniSA, Jessica made her way to the US, and she was quickly promoted to an Associate Director in less than three years at the company. In her role, she leads planning, analysis, and implementation of model-informed drug development for several assets coming through clinical development at Pfizer.

“It was certainly an exciting time working at Pfizer during the development and the emergency use authorization of the vaccine in the US last year. However, the last year has also been chaotic from a work and personal perspective,” Jessica says.

With the fantastic take up of the Pfizer vaccinations, they have seen a decrease in COVID-19 cases. Jessica and her partner have just bought an apartment in Connecticut and are keen to begin taking weekend trips exploring their new town, just in time for Summer.
