The National Student Safety Survey is coming up
|
|
Next month, the independent National Student Safety Survey (NSSS), which collects data on student experiences of sexual assault and harassment, is being conducted by Universities Australia and the Social Research Centre (SRC). If you are invited to participate in this confidential and anonymous survey, we encourage you to do so.
Your
voice, your experiences and your needs are important and will help shape the university’s work to address and respond to sexual violence. It is important that we hear from a range of students which includes people of diverse backgrounds and learning through different modes of study. We want to hear from you, whether you have experienced sexual violence, coercion, or harassment of any kind or perhaps know of someone who has.
If you or someone you know is impacted by sexual assault, domestic or family abuse, call 1800RESPECT (1800 737 732) or visit 1800RESPECT.org.au.
In an emergency, call 000. Men can also access anonymous confidential telephone counselling to help stop using violent and controlling behaviour through the Men’s Referral Service on 1300 766 491.
If you’re interested in the work UniSA has been doing in this space, you can find out more information on our website, including our response to the 2016 survey and associated recommendations.
