Finding resources for your assignment – Tips from the Study Help PALS
A great assignment is one filled with relevant and reliable information you’ve found! This shows that you’ve researched and gathered ideas, and used them to strengthen your argument. Always remember to verify the credibility of the resources you are using and reference them according to the required referencing style. Let's explore where to find valuable resources that you can reference.
Use the UniSA Library The UniSA Library website
is a great place to start your search. The Library offers a range of scholarly materials for you to explore. It even provides specific study databases for some courses that can help narrow down the resources you need. Google Scholar is another way you can find free resources through the Library website. While it gives you access to materials from all around the world, make sure you double check if the resource is peer-reviewed!
Other types of resources Sometimes, sources such as websites, media statements, images, legislation, and grey literature like government reports and statistics, can be great additions to your paper. Check your assessment information or with your tutor to see if a source is suitable for your assignment.

Make a positive difference for student mental health as part of our student consultative group
Would you like to be involved in an exciting opportunity to help the University shape how it supports student mental health? If so, we invite you to submit an Expression of Interest to be part of a student consultative group dedicated to creating a student-focused mental health framework, making a positive difference for all students at UniSA.
By participating, you will have an opportunity to contribute your ideas, collaborate with like-minded peers and engage in meaningful discussions to help shape how the University approaches student mental health. You will be expected to attend six to eight meetings from late November 2023 to May 2024, for no more than 1.5 hours per meeting, and you will also receive formal recognition for your participation.

Anna Vincent: When the stars align to tell the tale
After an advertising traineeship through TAFE landed her a role in TV sales and then production, Anna’s aspirations to become a film director took her to LA, where she worked in multiple roles in the creative industry. However, she realised that she needed to take a couple of steps back to be able to leap forward if she wanted to achieve her professional goals. Anna decided to come back to Adelaide to study and complete a Bachelor of Arts (Journalism) at UniSA.
With
the degree under her belt, Anna pivoted her career goal to film production following a friend’s suggestion. In 2013, she established SLA Films, identifying content that excites her and planning how to take the concept into production. Working with support from organisations such as Ausfilm, Anna travels interstate and overseas frequently to partner with colleagues and secure funding. “One of the exciting things about working as a producer is the inspirational, highly acclaimed talent we get to work with, both locally and internationally,” says Anna.
