Stand up against LGBTQIA+ discrimination on IDAHOBIT Day
|
|
In honour of the International Day Against LGBTQIA+ Discrimination (IDAHOBIT Day) on 17 May, we are proud to acknowledge the contribution of our student volunteers who have dedicated their time with the UniSA Ally Network and the UniSA Rainbow Club.
Show your support in the fight against LGBTQIA+ discrimination by advocating for a safe and inclusive environment for all. If you have any questions around gender and sexual diversity, or need some non-judgemental support from your peers, make sure you reach out to our UniSA Allies.

Become a Study Help PAL to help your peers succeed in their studies

|
If you want to make a positive impact on your fellow students while gaining valuable experience, why not become a Study Help PAL?
After a short break in SP2, Study Help PALS will be back in SP5 in a new format. As a Study Help PAL, you will connect students with appropriate study resources and other learning support services through social media posts and pop-up drop-in sessions.
The benefits of being a Study Help PAL go beyond just helping others. In addition to receiving a free t-shirt and a certificate of participation, your contribution can be recognised under the Leadership and Enterprise pillar of the UniSA+ Award.
As part of an inclusive team, you will also develop your communication skills and ability to work with a diverse range of students.
Find out more and apply by Tuesday 13 June. |

Create stand-out uni work that is uniquely yours
|
|
Do you know what makes your uni work special? It's you! Using your unique perspective and ideas in assignments makes your work stand out, but remember to always give credit to the sources that have contributed to your ideas.
There are several ways to cite the work of others: • Direct quotes: Copy and incorporate words, phrases, sentences or passages from a source. • Paraphrasing: Present ideas in your own words and acknowledge the source. • Summarising: Outline the main idea of a source, such as a book or a journal article.
Visit our website for more support about academic integrity and referencing.

ASPIRE workshop: Check your stories
|
|
Have you ever stopped to think about the power of storytelling? For as long as humans have communicated, we have been telling stories. Stories can help us make sense of the world, understand ourselves and others. It is our stories that create our feelings, and our feelings that create our responses to the situations we face.
Join the upcoming ASPIRE workshop to learn to recognise the limiting stories you’re telling yourself and how to control them so you can be the best version of yourself. |

Andrew completed a double degree in Law and Science before undertaking UniSA’s Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice. Combining his scientific knowledge with legal skills, Andrew has been dedicated to the life sciences industry and shares ViiV’s mission of leaving no person living with HIV behind.
