Maintain academic integrity and succeed in your exams
|
|
As this study period is coming to an end, remember that it’s important to maintain academic integrity during exams. This can help you build a strong foundation for your future and achieve success. One of the keys to maintaining academic integrity is being well-prepared for your exams.
Here are some useful strategies when you’re doing exam revisions: • Summarise the main ideas from lectures to key points that are easier to remember • Use recall cards (a pack of small cards) to develop a glossary of terms or definitions • Use concept maps to create a visual picture of connected concepts • Talk through concepts to ensure that you really understand them •
Try to cover all the course content more than once so that you both learn and remember
Visit the Study Help website for more exam strategies and resources, and all the best with your exams! |

Need a break from your exam study? Why not put on your favourite playlist and let the music take you away? Read this story from Bethany Swan, a Bachelor of Nursing student, on the power of music to free your mind.
“Music is the language we all can speak. Music is the audible masterpiece our ears need to hear and our hearts need to feel. In overwhelming moments, music can be the perfect matchmaker for your mood, making you lose yourself in the lyrics of your favourite song, and the perfect escape into the corners of your imagination.
I
find in songs or melodies I can escape reality, from the worries of everyday life. I can listen to my favourite songs and just forget about life for a while. I am able to link my music to memories, places or the ones I miss. Music can empower us and give us motivation, re-energise our moods, and encourage us to do better and go further, it’s a way that we can express ourselves without saying a word ourselves. Music enables us to overcome challenges, laugh or cry, soothe our minds and sleep easily.
Music can be one of those things we really don’t appreciate enough and the impact it can make on us and our feelings. In fact, music is proven to release dopamine – our ‘feel good hormone’ – so next time you feel down, play that favourite song and release some of those happy hormones!”
