Student tips: Unleash your happy chemicals
Have you ever felt helpless, when everything seemed to go wrong and it became too much to handle? Kiana Maniago, a Bachelor of Nursing student, has shared her cheat sheet on how to lift your spirits easily by doing simple actions that can activate your happiness hormones.

Dopamine (a.k.a. the feel-good hormone): Unlock it by celebrating small wins or ticking off tasks on your checklist.
Oxytocin (a.k.a. the love hormone): Unlock it by connecting with others through physical touch and affection.
Endorphins (a.k.a. the body's natural pain reliever): Unlock it by exercising, watching your favourite sitcom or laughing with your friends.
Serotonin (a.k.a. the mood regulator): Unlock it by getting some fresh air and sunlight, or doing mindfulness and meditating.

Remember, you don't need a grand gesture to be happy!
