This Respect Month, take a moment to reflect on what respect means to you at uni, and how we can all help create a safe and inclusive environment. We’ve teamed up with UniSA students to create a series of active bystander videos, showing how we can step up and speak out in everyday life. Whether you watch a video, complete UniSA’s training module,
or join a Respect Month event, there are plenty of ways to get involved and learn. Remember that support is always available, and to reach out if you need a helping hand. |

What would you do if you witnessed everyday sexism?
|
|
Being an active bystander means stepping up and speaking out when it matters. UniSA’s training module gives you the tools and confidence to safely support others and challenge sexism in everyday situations.
You’ll learn how to identify everyday sexism and its impacts, along with strategies to intervene, enact change and make a difference. With the mid-semester break in full swing, it’s a great time to work through the 30-minute training module and educate yourself. |

It’s also a great way to make new friends, establish a career advantage and gain a global perspective.

Make your voice heard and improve your program with ASRs
|
|
Have ideas to enhance your program or learning experience at UniSA? Your Academic Student Representatives (ASRs) are here to help.
ASRs are current students just like you, working to enhance your teaching and learning experience at UniSA. They listen to your ideas, represent your feedback and work with the University to continuously improve how your program is delivered.
Got a suggestion? Big or small, we want to hear it. Reach out to your ASR directly via email (listed on the ASR website), or if you’d prefer to stay anonymous, share your thoughts in the ASR feedback & suggestion box. |

Tell your story with UniSA+ self-development workshops
|
|
If someone asked you, ‘Tell me about yourself,’ what would you say? It’s often the first question employers ask during interviews, and if you find it difficult to answer, you’re not alone!
In this two-part workshop, we’ll explore effective storytelling and how it can be used to connect with others, enabling you to strengthen your communication skills and build confidence in sharing your ideas. You’ll get the opportunity to practise answering this question in various contexts such as job interviews, meeting someone for the first time, or networking events.
Your story matters. Register now and learn how to tell it well!
The story of me: Friday 2 May, 12:00pm – 1:30pm, Online Learning circle:

Make a positive difference to UniSA’s ongoing commitment to reconciliation

We are looking for passionate students to join our UniSA National Reconciliation Week (NRW) Campus Working Groups. Established in 2022, these groups play a crucial role in planning and implementing reconciliation events and activities across all campuses across the calendar year.
This is a great opportunity to build your network, knowledge, skills and experience in social justice and change. You will be required to commit to approximately one hour per meeting, for up to six meetings (for the remainder of 2025), and support some of the events being held at UniSA campuses. Your commitment comes with rewarding benefits, including payment of $35 per hour of your time.
