Update on Adelaide University transition study plans
|
|
If you are transitioning to Adelaide University in 2026, you will receive your transition study plan between June and September this year, detailing the courses you have completed and those you’ll need to enrol into when enrolments open for continuing students in November 2025.
Study plans will be sent in phases and in June, you will be sent an email confirming when you will receive yours. If you have any questions once you receive your study plan, you will be able to contact our specialist transition support team through the contact details that will be included with your plan. If
you are currently enrolled in a short duration program (for example, Graduate Certificate or Undergraduate Certificate), you won’t receive a study plan before September. We will assess your progress in the second half of the year and if you do need a study plan to transition to Adelaide University, one will be provided in time for enrolments opening.

Five tips to beat procrastination
|
|
As the semester progresses and assignments are due, you might find a lack of motivation and experience the urge to procrastinate – until suddenly you find the due date is only one day away! *Enter panic mode*
Luckily, our counselling team has put together a cheat sheet on five tips to beat procrastination.
1. Use the Pomodoro Technique. Study for 25 minutes and then take a five-minute break. Repeat this process a few times before taking a longer break of 15-30 minutes. 2. Create a flexible study schedule. Divide your overall study session into smaller blocks of time and assign a task to each block based on priorities. 3. Reduce interruptions and distractions. Create
a quiet and dedicated workspace, study with others, have soft background noise, or temporarily disable your favourite apps on your phone. 4. Set yourself a goal and use the WOOP technique. Wish on what you'd like to happen, Outcome if you achieve your wish, Obstacle that can get in the way, and Plan how to address the obstacle. 5. Check in and monitor progress. Ask yourself what you've achieved so far, how you're handling your study load and if you're feeling overwhelmed. Reduce stress by looking after your health and wellbeing, and focusing on doing your best rather than a specific outcome.
Remember, the counselling team is here for you, and if you need extra support during exam and assessments time, make sure you plan ahead and book an appointment early as appointments do fill up fast during this period. |
