Connect and be yourself with UniSA’s Ally Network
|
|
The UniSA Ally Network is a supportive group of students and staff who stand with UniSA’s rainbow community – not just during Pride Month, but all year round!
Whether you’d like to talk to someone, have questions about gender or sexual diversity, need help finding support services, or want to get involved in inclusive activities and events – we're here to offer safe and non-judgmental support. We understand navigating life as a queer-identifying student can be challenging, but you don’t have to do it alone.
Check out the full list of staff and student Allies on the Ally Network website. If you ever need a friendly ear or some extra support, feel free to reach out. We’re just an email away!

Show us your Queer joy for Pride Month
|
|
This Pride Month, we’re celebrating the inspiring, brilliant students who make up our diverse LGBTIQA+ community – and we want to hear from you. Visibility uplifts, connects and saves lives. So this June, show us what Queer joy means to you.
Share a photo of yourself that captures your Queer joy, along with a short message (up to 50 words). It could be a moment of affirmation or self-expression, a message to your younger self, a glimpse into your journey to pride, or anything that reflects your joy and identity.
The first 10 students to submit a photo and message will receive a $50 gift card. Some of the stories we receive will be featured in the next Student Life newsletter and across UniSA’s Instagram and Facebook pages.
Submissions close Sunday 22 June. Let your joy be seen!

Join the fight against homelessness at Vinnies Sleepout
|
|
Did you know that one in 200 people in Australia are experiencing homelessness on any given night, including a large number of children and young people? UniSA and University of Adelaide are coming together on 21 August for the Vinnies Community Sleepout 2025, and we call you to get involved.
By joining Vinnies Sleepout, you’ll swap your bed and home-cooked meal for one night under the stars and help raise important funds for the most vulnerable members of our local community. You’ll hear empowering stories, connect with fellow students, and stand in solidarity with those doing it tough every day.
Sleepout
participants will receive fundraising milestone prizes on the night, including a chance to win a Deluxe Swag to sleep in on the night and take home, valued at $500! Eligibility criteria apply, check the website for details.
Register for the Sleepout and start your fundraiser today – and help bring warmth, safety and hope to those who need it most. |

Explore MOD. in Quiet Mode
|
|
Visit MOD.'s FOREVER exhibition after hours, when things are quieter, a little slower, and a little less busy to explore in your own time.
Quiet Mode is a sensory-friendly night out for those who prefer to experience museums in a more relaxed and reflective environment. We'll make some adjustments to our exhibits to support your experience, like reducing the light and sound levels, and signposting the exhibits that create a more intense sensory experience. We want to create a supportive and welcoming environment where you can feel truly immersed!
No registration is required. Visit MOD.’s website to find out more, and get ready for an evening of quiet exploration. |
