Meet the low socio-economic status criterion. Students must be able to substantiate claims of financial hardship. One of the ways that you can verify financial disadvantage is by showing that you are in receipt of a means tested Centrelink Benefit (e.g. Youth Allowance, Austudy, Abstudy), and/or a Health Care Card. Not all Centrelink benefits are means tested.
Be enrolled in or undertaking a course of study (for the purposes of cross-institutional studies) with an eligible scholarship provider as a commonwealth supported student in an undergraduate course not limited to areas of National Priority) or a graduate diploma (or equivalent post graduate course of study) in an area of National Priority required for initial registration to practice in the chosen National Priority.
For postgraduate Commonwealth Scholarships, priority will be given to students who have moved from regional or remote area for the purpose of study.
In addition to the basic eligibility requirements listed above each scholarship type has its own specific eligibility requirements.
Students are not eligible if they:
Are enrolled part-time* (unless there are exceptional circumstances which prevent the student from studying full-time, for example, students who have a disability or significant carer responsibilities),
Are already in receipt of the specific scholarship for which they are applying
Are in receipt of a UniSA Study Grant
Are in receipt of the Relocation scholarship from Centrelink if they are in receipt of the Commonwealth Accommodation Scholarship (CAS)-Indigenous OR Commonwealth Accommodation Scholarship(CAS)-Indigenous Enabling
* Note: For CAS Indigenous Enabling and CECS Indigenous Enabling Scholarships, student are eligible if studying part time.
