  • Many HDR development activities have been transitioned to online delivery in EDGEx. These are delivered through a mix of live Zoom sessions and self-paced online modules.
  • EDGE online training providers include:
    • Research Education
    • UniSA Library
    • Careers Services
  • EDGEx is also the portal for candidate access to the 2020 ATN e-Grad School modules and the 2020-2021 IMNIS mentoring program (for candidates in STEM disciplines).
  • Candidates engaging in any online development opportunities external to the University can count these towards their EDGE participation and e-portfolio. This is done by completing the Self Record an Activity form in EDGEx once the activity has been completed.

Spaces & Collections

  • Access to four metropolitan campus libraries including 24/7 access to our city based location (Jeffrey Smart Building) which have been reconfigured to adhere to the government's social distancing guidelines. 24 hour Research zone (swipe card access for research degree candidates only) in Jeffrey Smart building provides quiet study space for researchers with PCs, printers as well as wi-fi and power for laptop study. Spaces and equipment cleaned twice daily.
  • Explore the vast online library collection available anytime anywhere on any device including journal articles, eReadings, ebooks and streaming media to support your research. Can’t find what you need? Request items form other Libraries via our Inter Library Loan
  • Research Degree Candidates now eligible to register for the Library’s Off Campus Library Service providing postal delivery of Library resources including Inter Library Loans during isolation periods.

  • One on one appointments available with an academic librarian to assist with a  range of support including research data management, systematic review support, literature searching, alerts, publishing etc. Contact asklibrary@unisa.edu.au
  • IT Helpdesk 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Contact about research data storage, HPC, helpdesk queries  and more.

  • Library Research guides: An extensive range of interactive research guides including supporting Open access, Endnote, publishing, systematic reviews, company and industry information, grey literature, author and journal metrics etc
  • Ask Research: One stop shop for a range of information including Research Tools and Services, Funding Opportunities, Global Collaboration, Researcher Profiles and Research Data Management
  • A large range of Software available to download for on and off campus study at no cost including Office 365, EndNote, Skype for Business, NViVO and One Drive.
  • UniSA Safe Zone app - The free App will connect you directly to the UniSA Security team should you need our assistance or emergency support while you are on campus in the LIbrary, computer barns etc.
