Online EDGEx resources

  • Find out more about UniSAEDGE (Enhancement of Doctoral Graduate Employability).
  • Many research degree development activities have transitioned to online delivery in EDGEx. These are delivered through a mix of live Zoom sessions and self-paced online modules.
  • EDGEonline training providers include:
    • Research Education
    • UniSA Library
    • Careers Services
  • Candidates engaging in any online development opportunities external to the University can count these towards their EDGEparticipation and e-portfolio. This is done by completing the Self Record an Activity form in EDGEx once the activity has been completed.

Spaces & Collections

  • Access to our campus libraries (including 24/7 access to our city-based Jeffrey Smart Building) which have all been reconfigured to adhere to the government's social distancing guidelines. The 24 hour Research zone (swipe card access for research degree candidates only) in Jeffrey Smart building also provides a quiet study space for researchers with PCs, printers as well as wi-fi and power for laptop study. All spaces and equipment are cleaned twice daily.
  • Explore the vast online library collection available anytime anywhere on any device including journal articles, eReadings, ebooks and streaming media to support your research. Can’t find what you need? Request items form other Libraries via Inter Library Loan.

Support and services

  • Our virtual Ask the Library service is available via online chat, email, or phone:

    8.30am – midnight Monday to Friday
    10.00 am – 6.00pm weekends and public holidays
  • One-on-one appointments are available with an academic librarian to assist with support including research data management, systematic review support, literature searching, alerts, publishing and more. To find out more, contact asklibrary@unisa.edu.au
  • IT Helpdesk is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for support with issues such as research data storage, HPC and helpdesk queries.

Online resources

  • Explore our extensive range of interactive research guides including Open access, Endnote, publishing, systematic reviews, company and industry information, grey literature, and author and journal metrics.
  • Discover Ask Research, the one-stop-shop for a range of information including research tools and services, funding opportunities, global collaboration, researcher profiles and research data management.
  • A large range of software is available to download for on and off-campus study at no cost including Office 365, EndNote, Skype for Business, NViVO and One Drive.
  • The free UniSA Safe Zone app connects you directly to the UniSA Security team should you need our assistance or emergency support while you are on campus.
  • Get free access to LinkedInLearning and choose from more than 5000 video courses on technology, creativity, business and career skills.
