UniSA Career Services is coming to Whyalla!

Are you keen to understand how to plan and develop your future career, optimise your employability, prepare high-quality graduate applications, develop job search strategies, and access career-related support services? You are invited to join a range of sessions designed to build your skills, knowledge and expertise in preparing to further your career.

The sessions listed below include in-class sessions and the opportunity to meet personally with UniSA career advisers Donna Klocke and Melissa Schubert.

We recommend that you add these sessions to your calendar and book in early where registration is required. Plus, go in the draw to win one of two $100 gift cards if you attend a workshop or 1:1 appointment.

Have you ever found yourself asking questions like: Where can my studies take me? What are my future career choices? Where will I find work, what are my options and how can I figure out what will suit me? In this workshop, we will help you explore the answers to some of these questions!

Preparing for your first placement (for nursing students) – JB2-140

In this workshop, Donna will guide you through how to prepare for your placement, make a great first impression, maximise your placement and reflect for the better.

2:30pm–3:30pm

Preparing for your first placement workshop (for social work students) – MB2-59

In this workshop, Melissa will guide you through how to prepare for your placement, make a great first impression, maximise your placement and reflect for the better.

4:00pm–5:00pm

How to network effectively – MB2-59

Networking is key to maximising your chances of finding a job, making valuable contacts and being noticed. Learn how to use networking to the greatest effect, and tand out and be remembered!

UniSA Whyalla Connect networking event – ICC/L Building

This event will be hosted by the Hon John Hill, Chancellor of the University of South Australia, and includes Paul Havelberg facilitating a panel on arts and culture in the regions, led by Professor Craig Batty, Pro Vice Chancellor-College of Creative Arts, Design & Humanities and Associate Professor Elizabeth Ellison, Dean of Research, UniSA Creative. Following the presentation, there will be an opportunity to network with the UniSA career advisers and Whyalla community.
