Want to help other students to be successful in their studies?

Study Help PALS work closely with each other, Study Help PALS Leaders and the Learning Advisers to find new and exciting ways to communicate with the students about learning resources. Volunteers will contribute to the Study Help PALS program by creating content for social media promotions and/or contributing to the planning and delivery of pop-up on campus events. Both these activities have the same aim – to raise awareness of the Study Help resources and services available to students.

Requirements

To be successful in this application, you need to:

  • Have completed one full study period with minimum GPA of 4.5 (with recent improvement in grades)
  • Understand the challenges of academic study
  • Be able to demonstrate good communication skills and empathy
  • Be confident and proactive in approaching other students to promote UniSA Study Help resources
  • Be able to commit to 20 hours of volunteering
  • Complete an online training module and attend a half day face to face training

Desirable skills

  • Previous experience in creating social media content (personal or professional, for example Instagram posts, reels)
  • Previous experience in planning and delivering events e.g. on campus, local club etc.
