Some scholarships are not considered income for Social Security purposes.
The Commonwealth Scholarships (CS), including Indigenous Commonwealth Education Costs Scholarships (Indigenous-CECS) and Indigenous Commonwealth Accommodation Scholarships (Indigenous-CAS), are not considered income for social security purposes. This means that current benefits such as payments made to you by Centrelink or concession cards should not be affected by payments of either of the Commonwealth scholarships.
