What credit can I claim for the Bachelor of Arts (Indigenous Studies)?
*This question is specific to OUA students only*
You may be eligible for credit towards the Bachelor of Arts (Indigenous Studies) if:
- You have completed previous TAFE /TAFE equivalent study at Certificate IV level or above within the last 10 years.
- You have undertaken previous university study within the last 10 years.
- You have relevant work experience.
Credit for the Bachelor of Arts (Indigenous Studies) is valid for a period of 10 years from the date it is first granted.
Exemption
Exemption in the Bachelor of Arts (Indigenous Studies) program means you can skip a maximum of two specific core units and complete an equivalent number of additional elective units instead.
You may be eligible for exemption for SSK10 - Tertiary Learning Strategies and CPT11 - Information Technology 1 if:
- You have completed tertiary study in the last 10 years.
- You have completed tertiary study in the last 10 years through which you have developed computer literacy skills.
Work experience - Bachelor of Arts (Indigenous Studies) only
If you have completed any relevant work experience, please include:
- A copy of your curriculum vitae.
- A letter from your employer(s) confirming your duties and the length of employment.
- A statement from you describing how your work experience is comparable to a unit or sequence of units in the degree.
