How do I apply for credit?

*This question is specific to OUA students only*

1. Fill out an Application for credit, making sure you sign and date it. If you are uncertain about which Open Universities Australia units you may receive credit for, you can leave this part of the form blank.

Note: please indicate whether you have previously enrolled in an OUA unit offered by UniSA. If this is the case, please include your UniSA Student ID number.

2. Attach a *certified copy of your official academic transcripts for previous study. Academic transcripts must be official and not result or examination notices printed from the internet. If you provide original transcripts these will not be returned to you.

* A certified copy is an exact, complete and unaltered copy of a document, signed as a true copy of the original.  To have your documents certified you will need to take the original document and a copy to an authorised person for signing.  In Australia, an authorised person includes a Justice of the Peace.  In other countries, if you are not sure who is authorised check with your Australian Embassy, High Commission or Consulate.

The certified copies must be:

  • Copies of the original document (not copies of copies) marked with the words "certified true copy of the original".
  • Sign on each page and include the name and address of the person who signed them.  We must be able to contact this person if needed.

3. Attach a certified copy of the grade legend. This is usually found on the back of the official academic transcript

If you have studied previously at TAFE, please include:
