UniSA+ Award Completion and Recognition

How do I complete the UniSA+ Award?

To fulfill all requirements of the UniSA+ Award and reap the benefits, you must complete the following steps.

All undergraduate and postgraduate coursework students can register for the UniSA+ Award at any time during your studies via CareerHub.

> Learn more about the registration process

You must complete all the requirements across each of the three pillars.

1. Leadership and Enterprise
    > Complete at least two eligible activities

2. Self-Development
    > Complete at least 20 hours of eligible activities

3. Global and Social Engagement
    > Complete at least 120 hours of volunteering (UniSA's Volunteer Connect search engine is a great place to start!)

Eligible activities must be co-curricular, unpaid and completed during your degree. The following activities are considered to be ineligible:

  • Credit-bearing activities, placements and exchanges
  • Activities, courses and qualifications related to placements within the curriculum
  • Activities that are a part of paid employment or for which any form of payment is received
  • Activities that support a political party or the election of a person as a member of the legislature of the Commonwealth, State or Territory, or local government body

Record all eligible activities online through CareerHub. Evidence for each activity must be provided alongside a completed UniSA+ Award verification of submission form. Contact the UniSA+ Award team if you are unable to provide a copy of the form.

You can only submit an activity once for recognition. You can however count activities from up to two years ago, as long as you were a UniSA student at the time, and you have until your final day as a UniSA student to complete the requirements.

If you are graduating soon, you must have all requirements completed by the official results release date in your final semester.

After successfully completing all requirements of the three pillars, you will then need to attend a compulsory reflection and employability workshop. This workshop will give you the opportunity to look back on your experiences and learn how to demonstrate to potential employers the valuable skills and knowledge you've gained.

Once you've completed the reflection and employability workshop, you can apply for the UniSA+ Award certificate and you will be invited to attend the awards ceremony.

All UniSA+ Award requirements must be entered into CareerHub by the end of October if you want to be recognised at the event.

What do I get for completing the UniSA+ Award?

  • The UniSA+ Award certificate of achievement signed by the Vice Chancellor
  • A transcript of your participation in co-curricular activities
  • Public acknowledgement of your achievement at an annual awards ceremony
