The University of South Australia and SYC Ltd's youth services division, HYPA (Helping Youth People Achieve) have collaborated to develop an exciting opportunity for Aboriginal students currently studying or considering studying in the areas of psychology, social work or human services.
To increase the participation of Aboriginal staff in their organisation, HYPA will provide ‘on the job’, paid work experience for Aboriginal students in these professional areas whilst still completing your studies. On graduation, students will have the option of continuing their employment with SYC Ltd, seeking employment in another organisation, or further study if they so desire.
SYC Ltd. is a not-for-profit organisation centred on employment, training and youth services and has the core purpose to positively affect the lives of people in need. In the last year SYC Ltd's youth services division, HYPA supported and assisted over 5,300 young people to access and maintain safe and appropriate accommodation, to reconnect with family, school, employment and the community.
