Admissions (online)

The UGRD and PGRD domestic admissions (learnonline) training module provides an introduction to Undergraduate (UGRD) and Postgraduate (PGRD) admissions, including the initial application process via the South Australian Tertiary Admissions Centre (SATAC), timelines of major events throughout the Domestic Admissions cycle, and key processes for administering the UGRD and PGRD cohort of students.

This two part training session is for all timetabling staff involved with preparing timetabled classes for enrolment and includes the scheduling of non-timetabled classes. Register for both Session 1 and 2 for your division.

This training is for school administration staff responsible for exam management (attendance required at one session only). 

Training covers exam management procedures for the collection of exam data using Databee Exam Manager.  Exam management procedures for Offshore exams is also included.

Graduate Research (online)

A number of online training modules have been developed to assist staff involved in Graduate Research student administration. An overview and link to each of the modules is provided below.

Graduate Research - Admissions

The HDR admissions training module is an introduction to the services and processes that the Graduate Research Admissions team offer to potential research students and to Divisions, from application to enrolment.

Online training modules are available for Professional staff who register to assist at Graduation Ceremonies. Details on how to access the training will be sent directly to registered staff in the lead up to each ceremony round.

Medici Access Training (online)

Before you can be granted a log on to Medici you need to successfully complete the Introduction to Medici version 9.2 (learnonline) training and pass the assessment.

It is vital that the data entry standards for Medici are adhered to at all times.  Incorrect data entry can cause major issues for government reporting and official documentation (e.g. parchments, transcripts).  Please ensure you read the Principles for data entry standards in Medici document prior to applying for access to Medici.

Overrides Training

Full Class Override and Upload Override Permissions Training

This training is for timetabling staff and other school staff involved with the administration of Full Class Overrides or Upload Override Permissions.

Training provides participants with the skills and knowledge to carry out the override related functions in Medici and the opportunity to view overrides from the student perspective via myEnrolment.

Scholarships Management System (SCMS) training

SCMS training is being offered via face-to-face training sessions and via online modules.

The SCMS face-to-face training session covers the system process related to scholarships, grants, prizes and awards in the Scholarships Management System.

Student Data and Reporting 

The Student Data and Reporting training is offered via a number of different modes which includes face-to-face group training sessions, online training and customised one-on-one training.

The face-to-face training caters for beginners and advanced users. Staff can choose to participate in the introductory or advanced training sessions.

Student Finance

Timetabling 

New Timetablers (online)

New Timetablers are required to complete sessions 1 and 2 of the New Timetabler online training prior to attending the face-to-face training sessions.

The 'New Timetabler' online training sessions provide staff with a basic understanding of Syllabus Plus and their role as a Timetabler. New Timetablers will need to successfully complete both sessions prior to being issued with a Syllabus Plus account. 

Access to the online materials and training site will be granted upon registering for the online training.

Division-based Timetabling training (face-to-face)

It is mandatory for timetabling staff with previous experience using Syllabus Plus to attend the first 3 sessions of the relevant Division-based training on an annual basis.

Registration in Session 4 of the training program is optional.

  • Session 1 - Collecting, updating, and maintaining Syllabus Plus data, and an introduction to new timetabling processes
  • Session 2 - Same time activities, In week repetition and other complex scheduling configurations
  • Session 3 - Creating programs of study, pathways, students sets and student set allocation
  • Session 4 - 'Live' production training session - covering pathways and student sets generation to ensure readiness for the student sets allocation day
