NVivo

NVivo is a qualitative data analysis (QDA) computer software package produced by QSR International. It has been designed for qualitative researchers working with very rich text-based and/or multimedia information, where deep levels of analysis on small or large volumes of data are required.

The University has funded an Enterprise License Agreement with QSR for NVivo Plus. Under this license agreement NVivo can be used by any UniSA Staff or Students, including installation on personal devices.

IMPORTANT NOTICE:

Compatibility issues between NVivo 14 and older versions

  • Project files created in release 1.6 are NOT BACKWARDS-COMPATIBLE with any earlier versions of NVivo, including releases 1.0–1.5. If sharing projects, ensure that all collaborators upgrade to this version. For more information see NVivo Version compatibility.
  • For information on how to create a copy and convert the old project see Open an older major-version project
