Come along and chat with a huge range of local and global organisations about your next fantastic volunteering project!

If you’re keen to volunteer or are passionate about a particular cause, this is the perfect opportunity to connect with an organisation to help you get started.

The event will be packed with exciting activities including a puppy kissing booth, design your own calico bag, plus various competitions and prizes! Lunch is also available from Let Them Eat for a gold coin donation. 


Organisations attending Volunteering Expo

> Safe Pets Safe Families

We provide support to pet owners facing disadvantage or crisis such as domestic violence, homelessness, mental illness or a medical emergency, through programs and services like dog walking, pet transports, pet feeding, fostering and much more.

> Adelaide Fringe

We are a world-renowned, annual arts festival that celebrates culture, place and artists from across the globe. In 2024, we saw 170 volunteers contribute to more than 3750 hours for the organisation.

> Australian Kookaburra Kids Foundation

We offer programs that are engaging, fun and contribute towards the positive wellbeing of young people’s lives. As a volunteer, you can engage with and support young people during our fun activity days and camps, or online connect sessions.

 

> Department for Child Protection

Our volunteers can help by providing transport for children to and from appointments, school or family visits. You can also support children with homework, sporting activities, community events and compiling the Life Story book (a scrapbook of memories).

 

> Scouts SA

At Scouts SA, we inspire young people to excel in life. We offer programs and activities that help contribute to the education of young people in achieving their full potential. From rock climbing and sailing to performing arts and environmental projects, you choose your own adventure!

> The Smith Family

We are an Australian children’s charity helping young people overcome educational inequality caused by poverty. We are looking for volunteers to take on roles such as learning club tutors, career speakers for our career programs, and career mentors.

 

> Treasure Boxes

We are a South Australian children’s not-for-profit, providing vital essentials to babies, children and teens living in disadvantage in our community. We ensure every child, regardless of their circumstance, has access to the basic and essential items they need to thrive and survive.

 

> UN Youth South Australia

We are a non-profit organisation run completely by volunteers under the age of 26, with the aim of educating and empowering the next generation of youth on global issues. We run competitions, events and in-school visits, and we’re looking for volunteers to help run these events.

> Academic Student Representatives

We empower students to represent their peer, cooperate with faculty, and help shape university outcomes. You’ll enhance your leadership and communication skills while making a real impact on the student experience at UniSA.

 

> G'Day Mates

We are a diverse team of domestic and international students who assist other UniSA students to enjoy life in Adelaide through a range of social activities, networking events, information sessions, and cultural and community events and activities.

 

> USASA

We are the UniSA student association, a not-for-profit, student-run organisation that exists to support the student body at UniSA. We’re looking for volunteers to assist in the delivery of our student events such as Pride Fair, Orientation, Wellness Markets, and more.

 

 

> Trees for Life

We are one of South Australia’s oldest and most-loved not-for-profit environmental organisations. Every year we train and work with thousands of volunteers to deliver on-ground conservation and revegetation programs across South Australia.

> St John Ambulance SA

We’re looking for health and medical services volunteers to provide first aid and medical services at events (training, uniform and equipment will be provided), as well as volunteers for our community care program to engage with older and socially isolated members of the community.

> Women’s Legal Service (SA) 

We are a state-wide specialist community legal centre, providing legal advice, representation, community legal education and support services to disadvantaged women living in South Australia. We’re looking for volunteers to provide high-quality customer service to vulnerable women who contact our legal advice intake line.  

> Riding for the Disabled Association SA

With three metro and six regional centres in SA, volunteers will assist children and adults with disabilities to learn to ride horses, providing benefits such as improved communication, strength, flexibility and emotional regulation.

> UniSA Sport

We oversees sport facilities, clubs and events at UniSA. Volunteers can get involved through our UniSA Sport Activator program, UniSA Sport clubs (coaching or administration) and UniSport Nationals (team manager/coach/sports trainer).

> Volunteering SA&NT

We are the peak body for volunteering, leading the sector in South Australia and the Northern Territory. We connect people and organisations to create positive volunteering experiences, and actively promote volunteering as an activity of enduring social, cultural, environmental and economic value.

> ACH Group

Our volunteer program aims to connect people who want to make a difference in the lives of older people. We’re looking for volunteers who like to chat or don’t mind singing, or who love working out in the gym.

 

> Anglicare SA

For more than 150 years, we have supported South Australians in need through diverse programs including housing and homelessness, aged care, foster care, emergency assistance and more. As a volunteer, we’ll place you in a fulfilling role that makes a real impact.

 

> Australian Red Cross

We are a volunteer-based organisation that exists to reduce human suffering. Our programs include emergency services, migration support, aged care and community services, retail and international humanitarian law.

 

> Foodbank SA & NT

We aim to deliver the most good food, to the most South Australian and Nortern Territorians in need, in the most efficient way possible

> Helping Hand

We connect older people in our community with a dedicated volunteer to bring friendship, support and joy to those who may be socially isolated, or who might be finding it hard to connect with others due to culture or language barriers.

 

> Minda

We are the largest not-for-profit intellectual disability service provider in SA. We are looking for volunteers for our upcoming large Christmas events, including the Charity Christmas Gift Wrapping and the Community Christmas Carols and Markets.

 

> SYC

We’ve been helping tens of thousands of people each year with housing, education and employment since 1958. We’re looking for volunteers to support our programs such as group mentors, career programs, homelessness support and justice support.

Come and hear from volunteer coordinators working in different sectors who will share about how volunteers have impacted their organisation and their sector, and be inspired by real-life stories on how volunteers themselves benefit from giving up their time. Panellists include representatives from Challenges Abroad, Scouts SA, Minda, Green Adelaide and Anglicare SA.  

Everyone who registers and attends this panel discussion will receive a yummy donut and students will also receive a cool volunteer pin (until they run out).
